REEL DEAL Movies and Television: Bridesmaids

If the movie about a Stag Party gone wrong  grabbed our attention now its the ladies turn to be get really really wild. BRIDESMAIDS is no ordinary chick flick with love and other things, its more. This bring together a group of ladies each having unique personalities that usually don't mix. Its stars Kristen Wiig as Annie, a jewelry store attendant who used to have her own bakeshop but was eventually closed and lost a lot of money. By her side is Lillian, played by Maya Rudolph, which is going to get married and get Annie as her maid of honor.

There are also the other bridesmaids who each have a unique and fun personality. Helen (Rose Byrne) the wealthy and almost perfect new bestfriend, Megan (Melissa McCarthy), the future sister in law of Helen with a very strong attitude, Rita (Wendi McLendon-Covey) the frustrated mother, and Becca (Ellie Kemper), the newly wed innocent girl.  As they are paving the way to the wedding, things get really messy with the preparations like fitting and even the wedding shower. A dramatic yet funny moment makes the movie interesting and personal.

Be prepared with the surprizes that happens on the story like the appearance of a 80's girl group. Though rated as a mature movie, it keeps the right mix to keep it good. The movie is also the last movie of Jill Clayburgh who died of leukemia last year. It did very well in the worldwide box office and now its showing in the Philippines. A perfect date movie that both men and women will enjoy.

Deliberation time kids!
