MUSIC LYF - Brewer Boys

Teen duo Brewer Boys visit Manila

With their boy-next-door looks and charming appeal, it is unbelievable that the teen brother’s duo Brewer Boys, composed of Justin (18) and Nathan (15), can perform wide range of songs  country to pop to classic rock and even bluegrass.

The Brewer Boys, who look up to the Everly Brothers, can perform mean covers of songs of Johnny Cash, Crosby Stills & Nash, Big & Rich, Journey, Train and even Jason Mraz. They also write some of their music.

This immense musicality and charm made the Brewer Boys enter the elite roster of finalists of the X Factor USA, where they were hailed the top 16th.

“It was fun, stressful, but memorable experience,” exclaims Justin when asked of the X Factor stint. “We will never, ever forget those times and we are thankful that because of that exposure so many doors have opened for us.”

Justin considers being tapped to perform in the Philippines is one of those doors that opened for them.

The Brewer Boys are currently in Manila to perform at three malls, figure in TV guestings, and other engagements.

The duo, sons of Filipina mother Elsa Brewer and American father Tim Brewer, will be performing this Sunday on ABS-CBN’s ASAP.

They are being managed by Media Nation, the same management group behind the careers of Marvin Agustin, Aiza Seguerra, Krizza Neri, David Pomeranz, among others.

When asked about their celebrity crushes, Justin gushed “Julia Montes or Kim Chiu,” while Nathan picked “Yeng Constantino or Kathryn Bernardo.”

Justin and Nathan met these girls when they guest in ASAP the past week.

“We are really looking forward to the projects we are going to do in the Philippines,” says Nathan. “We want to make some good music for Filipinos.”
