Meeting the Puzzle Queen at the Puzzle Mansion

Puzzles may not be the in thing in this generation with the emergence of electronics and gaming. Some may find them more like kids' play or not challenging to many, but how many of us can even assemble a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle? How about 3000, 5000, or 32000?

Puzzling as it may seems but jigsaw puzzles is now an art and this is proven by a proud Filipina who now holds the Guinness world record for the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles which was awarded last 2012, Mrs. Gina Gil-Lacuna.  Her passion for this kind of hobby started 27 years ago and has made 1028 puzzle collection (as per record with Guinness and still adding up new ones). This one of a kind collection is not exclusive with the regular jigsaw puzzles but a whole lot more.

The Puzzle Collection

1028 is already a big number for collecting regular-sized puzzles, but what is unique about thies collection is they can range from the simplest baby puzzles with cartoon characters to larger than life art masterpieces made into puzzles divided into thousands of pieces.

Among her collection of interesting puzzles are 4D puzzles, 3D puzzles, spherical puzzles, glow-in-the-dark puzzles, and wooden 3D puzzles. She also made puzzles made from her family photos, and even made one for Guiness.

Her favorites include famous painting from the reneiasance period like Leonardo Da Vinci, surrealist painters like Van Gogh, Cubism maestro Pablo Picasso, and with each painting comes with the life story of the painters and their works Mrs. Gina would love to talk about them during walking tours around the vast collection.
She mentioned that when doing the painting puzzles, she get to know more about the artist as she examines every stroke and color of the masterpiece which makes her appreciate their work while working to finish the large artwork.

As her collection is now the talk of the town and also a new tourist spot in the city of Tagaytay, the Puzzle Mansion will not only showcase the amazing jigsaw collection but also more features for everyone to enjoy.

Beyond the Collection

The Puzzle Mansion is also a great place for the whole family. And it would be best for everyone to take a souvenir by dropping by their Shop where they sell puzzles and other merchandise. They do have shirts, caps, towels (and even bathrobes) with the puzzle mansion in each one of them. And they also sell maternity dresses which is their family's bread and butter.

They also have a exclusive buko pie (Cococnut Cream Pie) which is only available there. It would be a must buy for those who will visit the Puzzle Mansion. There are also stalls which sells food like barbecue, plants, and other Tagaytay produce which makes it a one-stop shop.

You can also opt for an overnight stay at their rooms  within the compound and take a dip at their pool. while enjoying the cool weather, given the season you would visit.

The Puzzling Future

Puzzle mansion will never stop with its collection, Gina is currently working on a 32000 piece puzzle expected to be finished within the year. Her love for the puzzle also encouraged a lot to but our pieces and finishing them where they are featured in the facebook page.

Gina is also not stopping even with retirement as her passion has brought her to the world record books and is on a roll in making other records in the future.

Puzzle Mansion Bed and Breakfast is located in Cuadra Street, Brgy Asisan, Tagaytay City.`
