Sykes Continues to Dominate and Innovate This 2013

It has been a busy year for the country, and despite the tough times many have been through, there are still a lot to be thankful for the year. The economy continues to grow, thanks to remittances and the BPO industry which gives great opportunities to a strong half-million workforce. As a former agent, it is indeed a fast-paced world where a lot of skills are formed yet you can still find fun and friendship in this very busy world.

There is no doubt that the BPO industry is here to stay, and SYKES PHILIPPINES has been its pioneers which opened a lot of opportunities to many Filipinos. Now more than 15 years in the country and continuing to expand, it has been providing world-class service to worldwide clients.Sykes Philippines has recently opened their Glorietta Site in Makati and continues to be the top call centers in the country. 

Celebrating Christmas with Music Fest 2013

SYKESers got a break from their hectic schedules and get to celebrate the season of giving with their Annual Christmas party called music fest 2013 held at SMX Mall of Asia. With an attendance of 7000 and more employees, the celebration became a large music concert exclusively to Sykes employees, partners, and friends.

Opening acts where bands formed by employees like Crimson n’ Claire and Misc All-Stars proved that beyond office work, employees are also talented in many ways. And another way to show their talent is through an art installation where the winner will be determined via voting.

Opening the OPM bands in the list are Up Dharma Down, Giniling Fetsival, and Kamikazee. Hosted by Kat Alano and Drew Arellano, the event started with a explosive number as VP of Philippine Operations, Dan Van Ormer gives out a speech of appreciation and motivation to the SYKESers who attended the event.

And the fun does not stop there, Ebe Dancel, Itchyworms and Save Me Hollywood complete the diverse genre of music of the Year-end celebration. There is also the much-awaited raffle where one can take home amazing gadgets like Acer Laptops, iPods and iPad Mini or better yet a brand new  Mitsubishi Mirage.

Growing and Expanding Business

Dean Van Ormer, Vice President of Philippine Operations who has been part of the company for years and has witnessed the growth of the company in the Philippines shares, “Our performance remains to be outstanding and we have you guys to thank for that – Your commitment to excellence, your hard work and your loyalty is truly inspiring. That is why tonight, we celebrate you. Tonight, I hope you enjoy our way of saying thank you.”

With an increasing number of agents, business partners and clients, the future of Sykes in the Philippines reflects the upward trend and expanding businesses of the BPO industry in the country.

Open Houses are conducted in their sites hiring new graduates, and job seekers who seeks opportunities in key cities and nearby provinces.

Never Forget To Give Back

Sykes Philippines never forgets to lend a helping hand to the survivors of the recent calamities which have ravaged areas in the country via Sykes Cares. Employees gathered various relief items which were later donated to charity. 

They were also able to raise almost  two million pesos for the reconstruction of affected areas like Tacloban. This shows that you can still enjoy the joy of Christmas and help fellow Filipinos at the same time which make the celebration more meaningful.

Indeed everyone had a blast at the Sykes Year-End Celebration, where new memories are made, great songs were played, and the festivities will linger and keep SYKESers motivated to work and serve with a smile.
