ZALORA Philippines Opens First-Ever Digital Pop-Up Store

Asia’s leading online fashion destination, ZALORA Philippines, officially opened the doors of its ZALORA Pop-Up Store today at EDSA Shangri-la Mall. Recognized as the very first digital pop-up store in the Philippines, it represents the company’s latest efforts in continuing to build E-Commerce in the country using an omnichannel approach to ease customers into online shopping.

“The ZALORA Pop-Up Store marks another milestone in our company’s young history. Since we started operations in 2012, we’ve continued to look for innovative ways to grow E-Commerce in the Philippines and through this initiative, we hope to widen our customer reach, educate them on the benefits of online shopping and dress them in the latest fashion trends, in the quickest and most convenient way possible,” said Paulo Campos, Co-Founder and CEO of ZALORA Philippines.

With today’s consumers constantly on the move, brands are finding it more challenging to grab and keep their attention. ZALORA Philippines believes in using various channels to effectively reach new customers andhelp ease their doubts on online shopping by giving them a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

Occupying a total space of 235 square meters, the ZALORA Pop-Up Store looks like your typical outlet with its clothing racks, mannequins and changing rooms. Inside, ZALORA Philippines has filled the store with well curated fashion clothing and accessoriesfrom their extensive collection of top international and local brands and home-grown fashion boutiques. Customers will be given access to their extensive catalogue, similar to what they find online, but with the added benefit of being able to see and touch the products they want before they
decide to make a purchase.

What makes this store unique is that all transactions will be done online using tablets, phones and laptops that will be displayed throughout the space. Once a customer has chosen and paid for an item, it will be delivered right to their doorstep; eliminating the hassles from having to carry loads of bags that come with every shopping trip. The ZALORA Pop-Up Store brings the best of both worlds, giving customers the confidence from traditional shopping and adding in the ease and convenience of online shopping in one innovative venue.

“When it comes to online shopping, we understand that customers have some hesitations especially since they cannot physically touch or try the products they see in our website. With the ZALORA Pop-Up Store, we are now bringing our products closer to our customers while still keeping the convenience of online shopping,” added Campos.

Using the same platform as their website, customers can expect the same world-class shopping experience from ZALORA Philippines, whether it is through a gadget or in the pop-up store. As a fashion retailer ZALORA needs to be present in the consumer’s different touch points and continue to capture them while they’re on the go.

To address this, ZALORA Philippines partnered with the country's number one mobile brand, Globe Telecom, to give customers access to ZALORA’s online shopping portal on mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops where they can choose from over 65,000 products to satisfy their fashion fix. It’s like having a fashion store in their pockets.

Through the partnership, Mobile and Tattoo postpaid customers can access ZALORA and other e-commerce sites for only P299 a month by availing of the Shopping Bundle, one of the many lifestyle bundles that can be added to one’s mobile or on-the-go broadband postpaid plan for the complete digital lifestyle experience.

“We are glad that an innovative global fashion brand like ZALORA has chosen to partner with Globe to further expand their presence in the Philippines. As the driving force behind making the country as the ‘digital lifestyle capital of the world’, we are excited to collaborate with ZALORA to further grow the e-commerce industry in the country with a game-changing offer
that enriches the postpaid plan experience of our mobile and broadband customers,” says Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe Telecom.

“In the next three months, fashion enthusiasts can get a one-of-a-kind, hands-free shopping experience when they visit the ZALORA Pop-up store. We hope that through this click-and-mortar store concept, we get to encourage existing and new-to ZALORA customers to purchase their fashion needs through ZALORA,” said Campos.

The ZALORA Pop-Up Store is located in 5th floor, Shangri-la Plaza Mall (Main Wing), EDSA corner Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City and will be open until September 2015.
