Miss World Philippines Airs On GMA Primetime Tonight!

Who will win this year's Miss World Philippines crown?

Thirty-five candidates will be vying for the coveted Miss World Philippines crown during the grand pageant to be held tonight, September 3, at the Mall of Asia arena.

The event will be hosted by Iya Villania, KC Montero and Carla Abellana, with special guests Jay-R, Kris Lawrence and other surprise guests.

If you think Pinoy RnB, three men comes to mind, Jay-R, Kris Lawrence and Billy Crawford. They earned their titles when they started in the early 2000s and now they are now looked as inspirations and even mentors to new and upcoming artists. As a celebration to their brotherhood and music, they come up with their concert titled Soul Brothers. 

Happening on September 15 at the Kia Theater, the night will be filled with soulful songs, nostalgic beats, and classic hits that defined their musical careers. They will be joined by guest performers which are also their close friends in the industry like Daryl Ong, Sam Concepcion, Jay Durias and Gloc 9.

A New Chapter For Miss World Philippines Starts This 2017!

Miss World Philippines has indeed became more exciting as it presented itself as a independent beauty pageant, now it goes into a new chapter with the new Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria. He wanted this year's pageant more epic and trendsetting, fusing the best elements from Filipino culture with a dash of showbiz pizzazz—the better to promote local tourism and generate goodwill among all contestants.

He says, “I am deeply honored and privileged to have been given this challenge. I am looking forward to continuing our mission of uplifting the image of the Filipina in the global pageant circuit, but even more importantly, it has always been our priority to perpetuate the Miss World Organization’s noble advocacy of Beauty With A Purpose.”
