In 2020, with the world in lockdown, visionary filmmaker Matthew Vaughn – the director and producer of “The Kingsman” films, “Kick-Ass” and “Stardust” – sat down at his home outside London and decided to stage a film-appreciation class for his wife, Claudia Vaughn (née Schiffer), and their two daughters, who were around 10 and 15 years old at the time.

“Because it was lockdown, it gave me license to keep screening movies for them to watch,” Vaughn says. He showed them movie after movie, including Alfred Hitchcock’s 1959 classic “North by Northwest,” in which an ordinary man (albeit one who looks like Cary Grant) gets swept up in an extraordinary, espionage-tinged adventure. His girls went crazy for it. “And I thought, ‘I want to make a movie like that for my daughters,’” Vaughn says.

Rocketman - Elton John's Musical Extravaganza

Elton John has contributed a lot of great songs in the music industry and can be considered an icon. Thus having a film based on his life means it can be a musical with his songs as an integral part it making it come true. Thus the Rocketman takes off with Taron Egerton playing the flamboyant and passionate singer and performer.

It is no secret that Elton John has a very colorful life starting from his childhood which started his passion for music. His origins as a musician grew and led him into the world of music, rock and roll, sex, drugs, and even love. It can also be recalled that in Taron's movie Kingsman, Elton John made a cameo which speculated  his role in the upcoming musical.

Though Elton may not be as popular as today, his hits have touched millions of lives and some are anthems of many which spans many decades. The film was well executed with the song and dance gives a spell to the viewers  and makes us want to sing and dance along. There are also times of sadness paired with the heartfelt melody of his ballads. Taron also sang Elton's hits and comparably was very similiar to Elton's.

Bryce Dallas Howard: More Determined, Focused in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom"

Coming-off a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for Netflix’s Black Mirror, Bryce Dallas Howard returns to the role of Claire Dearing in Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the sequel to the 2015 global megahit Jurassic World.

Her character, Claire, has been irrevocably changed by the disastrous events of three years ago.  “In Jurassic World, Claire goes on a very clear arc,” reflects Howard.  “You see who she is on the exterior, but you don’t know who she is on the inside.  By the end of the first film, you know what this person is really made of and can clearly see who she is.”

While Owen (Chris Pratt) retreated into a life of solitude, Claire has done the complete opposite—creating the Dinosaur Protection Group (DPG), whose mission is to save the dinosaurs remaining on Isla Nublar.  “She is still dealing with the fact she needs to take responsibility for everything that happened,” Howard continues.  “She made a mistake she can never take back because she was a part of the creation of the Indominus rex; she wrote the check for that.  Now the world is a different place because of her actions.  She opened Pandora’s Box, and she can never close it again.  All that Claire wants to do is be on the right side of history.  It’s her cause and mission.”

Bryce Dallas Howard Follows Up "Jurassic World" with "Pete's Dragon"‏

Bryce Dallas Howard goes from one big adventure to another as she follows up the global blockbuster “Jurassic World” with Walt Disney Pictures’ new, re-imagining of “Pete’s Dragon,” based on the ‘70s classic and cherished family film of the same title.

Opening in Philippine cinemas on Sept. 07, the new “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.

Howard’s journey with “Pete’s Dragon” is almost as magical as the film itself. The actress thinks of the original film as a fundamental part of her childhood. “It was one of my favorite films as a child,” Howard says. “One of my earliest memories of watching a movie is watching ‘Pete’s Dragon.’ There’s something singular about that film…I don’t know what it is, but it immediately touches the inner child in me.”

Walt Disney Studios' classic 1977 live-action/animated musical “Pete’s Dragon” – the endearing tale of a young boy and his friendship with an animated, green dragon – is re-imagined for today's generation with the new family adventure bearing the same title.

In Philippine cinemas starting Sept. 07, the new “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon. The film stars Bryce Dallas Howard (“Jurassic World”), Oakes Fegley (“This is Where I Leave You”), Wes Bentley (“The Hunger Games”), Karl Urban (“Star Trek”), Oona Laurence (“Southpaw”) and Oscar® winner Robert Redford (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”).

Disney had been eager for some time to introduce “Pete’s Dragon” to a whole new generation of film goer’s and brought on producer Jim Whitaker to shepherd the project. “There are so many people who grew up with the original film, and the idea of that movie became a leaping-off point for us,” says Whitaker. “We knew that this very simple idea about a boy and his dragon still had the potential to become a really special film.”

“Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.

For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie ( Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.
