The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part - Is Everrything Still Awesome?

The second part of the Lego Movie is now here yet there has been some reservations on how it pared with the first one which got high reviews. But looking at all the lego movies that we had in the past few years, we enjoyed the movies as it was both fun for kids as well as adults.

The new Lego movie brings together the main master builder gang of Unikitty, Lego Batman, Wyldstyle, Benny, Metalbeard, and Emmet. But they face new enimies from the Duplo universe and the Sistar System. Both aliens in trhe world of Lego, it becomes a cute yet challenging war for them which shook their worlds.

This new chapter brings in new characters like Queen Wathever Wa'Nabi, General Sweet Mayhem, and Rex Dangervest (who is voiced by Chris Pratt as well), and a more expanded universe and also follows the real life lives of their owners. As it also mirrors reality like the first one, it tries to be a little mature as well with a moral that everyone will learn. However it still keeps the child-friendly charm and comedy which makes it fun to watch.

Pacific Rim: Uprising - Did This New Team Fail?

From the first film featuring these mechanical wonders, it was inevitable that there will be sequels lined up. But will the new team for Pacific Rim: Uprising up to the expectations set by the first one?

Set 10 years after the Breach War,  a new generation of fighters and pilots are preparing for any posibility that kaijus would come back. And based on the trailer, they did and they seem to have something more advanced against the new Jeagers; Gypsy Avenger, Saber Athena, Bracer Pheonix, and Guardian Bravo.

Jake Pentecost join Nate Lambet to operate Gypsy Avenger along with young recruits who will trained to pilot the other Jeagers. Surprising the coalition is a rogue jeager and also the appearance of kaijus that sparked another dilemma of destruction especially in cities. I love the new jeagers, specially Saber Athena, yet I still love the original ones. The ten year gap between the two film also made a void between the two films.

A Powerhouse Cast Rises Up for "Pacific Rim Uprising"

The globe-spanning conflict between otherworldly monsters of mass destruction and the human-piloted super-machines built to vanquish them was only a prelude to the all-out assault on humanity in Universal Pictures' 3D epic adventure Pacific Rim Uprising.

John Boyega (Star Wars series) plays the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous “Kaiju.” Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through our cities and bring the world to its knees, he is given one last chance to live up to his father’s legacy by his estranged sister, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi, Babel)—who is leading a brave new generation of pilots that have grown up in the shadow of war. As they seek justice for the fallen, their only hope is to unite together in a global uprising against the forces of extinction.

REEL DEAL: Charlie Day, Jason Sudekis Bring Comic Chaos To “HORRIBLE BOSSES 2”

As much as they function best as a team, or what Jason Bateman calls “this three-headed monster, a sort of collective idiot,” New Line Cinema's “Horrible Bosses 2” lets Nick, Dale and Kurt also shine as distinctly individual personalities.

Says producer Jay Stern, “That’s really the strength and the secret of this kind of ensemble. There are people watching around the world who might not identify with all of them but will see a bit of themselves in Dale, or maybe Nick, or Kurt, so audiences have multiple opportunities to get drawn into it.”

For example, the needle of Charlie Day’s character, Dale, only points in one direction or the other: total fear and denial, or total gung-ho commitment. Above all, Dale’s first impulse is to avoid anything that will get him in trouble with his wife, a tendency he displayed in the first round when she was just his fiancée and is now amplified because the stakes are so much higher on the home front.

REEL DEAL: Jason Bateman Stars In "HORRIBLE BOSSES 2", "THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU"

Golden Globe Award-winner Jason Bateman (TV's “Arrested Development,” “Hancock”) headlines two consecutive comedies from Warner Bros. Pictures: the laugh-out-loud “Horrible Bosses 2” and the inspiring “This is Where I Leave You.”

In “Horrible Bosses 2,” everyone's favorite working stiffs Nick (Bateman), Dale (Charlie Day) and Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) rally with an original invention and another run at the American dream. But a slick investor (Christoph Waltz) soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son (Chris Pine) and ransom him to regain control of their company.
