Chan Lim Exhibit Reveals Painting Which Took 35 Years!


The Chan Lim Family of Artists and Students has been going around the country in SM Malls to set up exhibits of their artworks which features chinese brush painting in different mediums like scrolls, plates, and fans. Now for this upcoming year of the dog, they also made another milestone for them, the revelation of the finished family painting which took 35 years in the making.

The family and their students makes a great impression with their exhibits all over the country. With generations of artistry passed from their patriarch to the grandchildren. From the traditional paint brush, the younger generation is expanding their artistic repertoire with digital media and audio-visual creations.

After experiencing how intricate it is to create Chinese Paintings, we got another chance to talk and experience the art and stories behind the work of the Chan Lim family and their students. Beyond the brushstrokes, there are actually more than a thousand moments and emotions in each of the art made on plates, scrolls and oil paintings.

Meeting he masters which came from the Chan Lim clan shows that talent runs in the family whatever career they would choose. The Chan Lim legacy continues with the third generation growing and shows full support with the family affair which also brings new students to their studio.
