About Jumanji: The Next Level

In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Alex Wolff with Danny Glover and Danny DeVito.

Directed by Jake Kasdan, the sequel is written by Jake Kasdan & Jeff Pinker & Scott Rosenberg, based on the book Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg. The film is produced by Matt Tolmach, Jake Kasdan, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia.

The gang is back in this sequel to Columbia Pictures’ runaway hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Dwayne Johnson has shared through his Instagram the first-look photo of the returning cast for the highly anticipated (but yet untitled) Jumanji sequel.

Check out the photo below, which he captioned with, “Yes, you’re favorite band is back ~ lookin’ lean (ish) and mean. Even though things may not be as they seem.  So buckle up world because soon we’ll all play when a brand NEW JUMANJI drops this Holiday!  Oh the fun you’re gonna have.

The action adventure tells of four unlikely friends who are sucked into the world of Jumanji. “When Fridge is picking his character, of course he picks ‘Moose’ Finbar. Moose sounds strong, big, tall, just like Fridge is,” says Hart. “And he isn’t. He ends up being myself, which is a very small, petite man. Everything that he thought he was, suddenly, he’s not. He was big and tough in real life, but in the game, he’s small. He’s not that tough, he can’t do all the things that he used to do. And suddenly he’s in compromising positions as the complete opposite of himself, which really doesn’t sit well with him at all. And it really doesn’t sit well that Dwayne Johnson's Spencer is now bigger than he is. But he has to take a step back and let Spencer be the leader.”

“Kevin is just a ball of fire energy,” says co-star Jack Black. “It’s kind of awesome to be in a movie with him, although I did feel some pressure to be funnier a little more often. It was like, ‘Damn, I’ve got to pump my game up.’”
