It is official, that Kris Lawrence is the new Prince of R&B as the title was handed to him by his best friend Jay-R who is now the King of R&B. Another great news is that Kris Lawrence launched his new album under GMA Records after 4 years, and also a lot of up and downs he has been through.

Now a father, he is now more inspired to take on a new level with his career together with his girlfriend, Katrina Halili who is also making a comeback in the industry.  Kris Lawrence, as a kapuso has been very thankful for the opportunities that is given to him as he stood firm despite having a lot of competition in his genre.

‘Indio’ welcomes new villains this week

Are they friends or foes?

GMA’s primetime fantasy series, Indio, becomes even more exciting beginning this week as the show welcomes two new cast members: Katrina Halili, who will play the role of Burigadang Pada Sinaklang Bulawan; and Ryan Eigenmann, who will portray Sidapa, the god of death.  The move marks Katrina and Ryan’s return to the realm of fantasy.

Will they be a friend or a foe to Simeon, the lead character of the epic series portrayed by Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr.?  Well, Katrina is going to be an antagonist, a gorgeous supernatural being who will make Simeon’s goal of defending the natives from the brutality of the Spanish conquistadores a Herculean task.  Katrina’s character is a goddess of greed and vengeance.  She will avenge the death of her only sister who was killed by Simeon.

This year’s love month is set to become a lot more memorable for all Kapuso fans in Negros Oriental as some of GMA Network’s hottest celebrities bannered by Kapuso Primetime Royalty Richard Gutierrez heat up the celebration of Bayawan City’s Tawo-Tawo Festival this Sunday, February 17.

“My Lady Boss” lead actor Richard will be joined by versatile actresses Chynna Ortaleza, Katrina Halili, and Andrea Torres in the colorful Float Parade which will be cruising along the major streets of Bayawan City from 1:00 PM onwards.

The merriment then continues at 7:00 PM via the Kapuso Night happening at the Integrated Business Center Hotel grounds, this time, with the participation of talented actor Gabby Eigenmann.

Barely a few years ago, in the midst of the sex video controversy the actress was involved in, the public saw a devastated Katrina Halili.  But now, a mother of a beautiful baby named Katrence (her daughter with boyfriend Kris Lawrence), Katrina has clearly moved on from her past and is ready to embrace new challenges life has in store for her.

"Nadapa ako, bumangon ako, at inayos ko yung buhay ko. Kapag nagkamali ka, hindi mo na kailangan sabihin sa mga tao na mabuti kang tao, kailangan mo lang itama ang pagkakamali mo at ayusin ang buhay mo," said Katrina.
