A Star Is Born - Emotional Encounter Of Music And Movies

The wait for Lady Gaga to star in her starring role is indeed over with the perfect material for her, a story with music, stardom, and drama. A Star Is Born had been brought to many live in the past and now found its way to 2018 starring Mother Monster and Bradley Cooper. But let us take a moment to see that with his film, Lady Gaga completely sheds her pop star skin to grow a new kind of musical idol within her and owning it.

This film is also a first for Bradley Cooper for his directorial debut. He has been nominated for the Academy Awards as an actor, and there could be a possibility that this one could also get him a directorial nomination. The film feels like a complete album coming to life with all the love, heartbreaks, struggles, passion, and some profanity along the way. 

Basically the gist of the story is boy meets girl, fell in love, made music together, girl becomes more famous than guy then it can now progress into more complicated and darker things after that. Even though I haven't seen one of past remakes, this one proved to be worthy of rich music that transcends into many genres and styles.

With "A Star is Born," Lady Gaga Shines in Her First Film Lead Role

Multiple award-winning, Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga stars in Warner Bros. Pictures’ “A Star is Born,” her first leading role in a major motion picture. 

In the film, Bradley Cooper (who also directs the film) portrays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally (Gaga).  She has given up on her dream to become a successful singer, until she meets Jack, who immediately sees her natural talent.

Film marks Cooper's Directorial Debut, Lady Gaga to write and perform new music in the film

Award-winning music superstar Lady Gaga has been set to star opposite four-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (“American Sniper,” “American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) in a remake of the iconic musical drama “A Star is Born.” The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. The film will also be helmed by Cooper, who will be making his directorial debut.

Lady Gaga’s role in “A Star is Born” will mark her first lead in a feature film. In addition, she will compose new songs for the film, which she will also perform. 

“A Star is Born” is being produced by Billy Gerber and Jon Peters; together with Bradley Cooper and Todd Phillips, under their Joint Effort Productions banner. Basil Iwanyk is serving as executive producer.

MUSIC LYF: Lady Gaga is Back with "Applause"

Multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning artist Lady Gaga has announced that the first single from her long-awaited forthcoming album/app ARTPOP is "Applause", and has released its single artwork shot by Inez & Vinoodh. "Applause" will be available worldwide beginning August 19th, and is the first single from the pop icon's highly anticipated fourth studio album/app ARTPOP, which will hit stores around the world on November 11th through Streamline/Interscope Records.

Due to popular audience demand, the pre-order for ARTPOP will also now arrive on August 19th - two weeks earlier than previously announced. Fans who visit iTunes on August 19th will be able to purchase the single "Applause" and pre-order their copy of ARTPOP with just one click. The single will also be available at digital retailers across the globe at the same time, and CD pre-orders will be available at Amazon.com and other select retailers.

Lady Gaga is set to perform "Applause" for the first time at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on August 25th.
