Marvin Agustin considers 2012 a landmark year

The year 2012 is undeniably a landmark year for Marvin Agustin, for it is this year that he has been lauded on basically all his endeavors – as a TV/movie actor, entrepreneur, restaurateur, entertainment producer, and a society mover.

Before the end of the year, Marvin bagged two important entrepreneurial awards – the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the annual Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and being one of the recipients of the MVP Bossing Awards. These awards highlight the immense contribution of Marvin as a young entrepreneur, being one of the men behind one of the most successful food chains Sumo Sam.

These achievements were acknowledged by various brands’ support to Marvin by asking him to be their endorser. Currently, Marvin is the face of brands like Knorr, Carbtrim, Tupperware, among others.

HEALTHY LYF: Less Worry About Carbs With Carbtrim

As people are getting conscious about their weight with the coming Christmas parties, reunions, and get together  one would say just diet another day (or probably next year which usually set to fail). But there is actually something one can do without having to pass on the flavors of the season.

Carbtrim is a special ice tea mix that helps in preventing the absorption of carbohydrates which will lead to increased weight which most people are afraid especially women. With celebrations and buffet this season, it hard to resist temptation!

Since most people don't like to take capsules or tablets which can be forgotten and lost, Carbtrim comes in a handy sachet good for a glass which you can drink before meals. The iced tea flavors of lemon and apple also gives the variety of flavors.

The luck Marvin Agustin brings in ‘Wil Time Bigtime’

In Marvin Agustin’s two-day hosting stint at Wil Time Bigtime, the actor-entrepreneur-restaurateur proved to be a contestant’s lucky charm.

For two days straight, Marvin seems to bring luck to the contestants. Aling Virginia won the Baliktaran segment during Marvin’s first day, but the biggest winner was Mavic who took home the Mega Jackpot (P1Million, brand new car and a house and lot) during his second day.

"Pinaginipan daw niya at idinasal na color blue ang piliin niya. Pumunta pa siya sa simbahan and God gave her the sign the "will" at color blue ang piliin,” shares Marvin. “Truly, she got her prayers answered.”

Marvin remains thankful to Willie Revillame for choosing him to host the show for three consecutive days.

Tonight is his last night to host the show as Willie is set to return tomorrow night on the show.

"Sobra akong nag-enjoy sa pay-ho-host ng Witime Bigtime,” concludes Marvin. “Nakakapagpasaya ka na, nakakatulong ka pa. Salamat Kuya Wil."

REEL DEAL: Moron 5 And The Crying Lady REVIEW

Movies are meant to remove the stress from the viewers, and this is what Pinoy comedy does best. And Wenn De Ramas, who made the box office hit Praybeyt  Benjamin, does his specialty of slapstick and dialouge comedy with MORON 5 AND THE CRYING LADY

Moron 5 and The Crying Lady bring together half-witted longtime friends Albert (Luis Manzano), Isaac (Billy Crawford), Mozart "Mo" (DJ Durano), Michaelangelo "Mike" (Martin Escudero) and Aristotle "Aris" (Marvin Agustin) were used to living moronic yet pretty normal and hassle-free lives until successful careerwoman Becky Pamintuan (John "Sweet" Lapus) accused them of killing her father and ruin everything for them. The Moron 5 are more than sure of their innocence but the life of them, they cannot find a single satisfactory argument on how to prove it especially when their opponent would do everything to punish them for whim.

The Moron 5 are more than sure of their innocence but the life of them, they cannot find a single satisfactory argument on how to prove it especially when their opponent would do everything to punish them for whim.

Spending three miserable years in prison trying different failed comedic attempts to get out, they finally figured a way to escape. They stalked Becky and try to understand why she is fighting so hard to have them imprisoned when it's clear as day that what happened three years ago was a nonsense frame-up.

An opportunity came when Becky's driver got fired for having an affair with her maid and Albert volunteered to apply to replace him. He infiltrated the Pamintuan Residence and together with this four crazily daft friends, they've gathered information about the curious family yet to them, Becky's unexplained hatred for them it isn't making any sense at all.

Why is Becky fighting so hard to have them suffer? The Moron 5 will try their hardest to know and hopefully understand what's really going on although little did they know that by doing so, everything that they hold dear might be at risk.

Marvin Agustin Goes Door-to-Door With Knorr

Marvin Agustin’s journey to what he is today—a successful chef and restaurateur—is so inspiring that it became the cornerstone of his latest endorsement for Knorr Cubes.

Marvin recently signed on to become the new brand ambassador for Knorr Cubes, the favorite partner of people like him who are passionate about food and cooking.  As such, he is also the new face behind Knorr Cubes’ “Door to door Sabaw Challenge” in which he will be visiting different cities all over the Philippines, challenging cooks to identify which is the better, more ma-karne and better-tasting sabaw: the one made with Knorr Cubes, or not?

During the challenge, Marvin will present two versions of sabaw, one made with granules and the other, made with Knorr cubes. Marvin believes so much in the product’s claims to deliver the meatiest taste and flavor that he throws in a promise to give up cooking if they end up choosing the sabaw that’s not made of Knorr cubes—and everyone knows how passionate Marvin is about cooking, so for him to promise that is a big deal.

Among the locations Marvin will visit are Laguna, Iloilo, and Metro Manila. There will be a series of 30-seconder commercials featuring Marvin engaging cooks and housewives to take part in the challenge.

REEL DEAL Movies and Television: The Road REVIEW

With local films today stilling clinging to comedy, drama and love stories, thriller movies has been left behind due to the lack of that special factor successful movie film has. And with many losing faith in the horror industry GMA Films, The Road takes us on a detour from conventional horror into a more darker movie. The movie transcends into 3 parts interconnected with each other with a different timeline. The thrill in this movie is not really with the gore but the story itself and the twisted characters that makes every scene not to be missed. It will leave you an impression that someone or something is watching you every time you drive at night or pass by a long dark road.
