“STAR WARS: AHSOKA” Draws 14 Million Views Globally For First Episode

Star Wars fans all over the world have long-awaited the return of a beloved character in Ahsoka Tano, making this successful debut more special.

Lucasfilm and The Walt Disney Company are thrilled and humbled to announce that Part One of “Ahsoka,” "Master and Apprentice," was the most-watched title on Disney+ last week. The debut episode garnered 14 million views*, making the series number one globally on the streaming platform. 

“Ahsoka has become a fan favorite with people of all ages and it’s wonderful to see her continue to resonate with viewers in her very own headlining series,” says Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president. “I want to recognize the fantastic work done by our creative team, led by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, the incredible cast led by Rosario Dawson, and our talented crew — and on behalf of the team and all of Lucasfilm, we give our thanks to all the fans who have been with Ahsoka on every step of her journey and to all those who are just learning about her now in Ahsoka on Disney+.” 

New episodes of Ahsoka arrive every Wednesday at 9AM, only on Disney+.

Disney+ Reveals New Trailer And Key Art For "Star Wars: Ahsoka"

Original Series from Lucasfilm Launches Exclusively on Disney+ August 23 with First Two Episodes

Today, Disney+ released an exciting new trailer and key art for Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: Ahsoka” and also announced that the series debut on August 23 will kick-off with the first two episodes. 

Check out the featurette “Journey to Ahsoka” to learn more about the series from its creators and stars. 

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

"Ahsoka" stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and Eman Esfandi. The episodes are directed by Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa. Dave Filoni is the head writer and executive producer along with Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer.

Today, Disney+ revealed August 23 as the premiere date for Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: Ahsoka.” To celebrate the upcoming series, Disney+ also debuted a TV spot and released three images from the series.

Disney+ Marks 30-Day Countdown To The New Season Of The Emmy Award-Winning Series “STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN”

Season 3 Premieres March 1, Exclusively on Disney+

Today, Disney+ shared brand-new key art and an exciting featurette for the third season of “The Mandalorian,” the critically acclaimed, original, live-action series from Lucasfilm, streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting March 1. Watch the new featurette and join Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa and others as they explore how “The Mandalorian” and its fan-favorite character Grogu rose to engage the world and win the hearts of viewers across the globe.

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode Season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jon Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" Holds Special Screening at Glorietta 4

The Walt Disney Company Philippines and Ayala Malls Cinemas joined forces together May 17 in holding the first-ever exclusive screening of Lucasfilm's "Solo: A Star Wars Story" in the Philippines. 

The premiere was held in Glorietta 4 in Makati and was attended by Star Wars fans and celebrities from various fields.

The screening was preceded by a flurry of Star Wars-themed festivities around Glorietta 4, the main highlight of which was the unveiling of the 7.4-ft statue of the galaxy’s most famous Wookie and Han Solo’s trusted co-pilot, Chewbacca.

Opening three days earlier than in the US, Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi begins its roll-out in Philippine cinemas on Wednesday, Dec. 13 with screenings starting at 5 in the afternoon.

Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets in now at their favorite theaters to avoid missing out to be one of the first in the world to watch the eagerly anticipated sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Official Name for the Untitled Han Solo Film Revealed

In a surprise announcement today, director Ron Howard revealed the official name of the untitled Han Solo film – Solo: A Star Wars Story. The announcement came in a post in which the acclaimed filmmaker (with a little help from an anonymous Wookiee) thanked his cast and crew as principal photography wrapped.

Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer for writer/director Rian Johnson‘s follow-up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

After "Star Wars," Adam Driver Heads to "Midnight Special"
