Here is the except from my novel CHAIN MAIL which I hope will be finished and be published in 2013.

CHAIN MAIL

A curse, a well planned curse. People have been mysteriously dying with no concrete evidence or suspects. All they have are pieces of paper that gives a death sentence to those who did not follow the instructions in the letter. The public is getting scared that they will receive one. It maybe a deadly prank or supernatural letter, two Investigators goes into the truth as they also avoid the touch of death or the feared chain mail.

Well not yet, but as I know that with you, my friends and family, this can be possible. So I appeal to your hearts and twitter account to make April 30, my 25th birthday, a special day for me, lets all make #HappyBirthdayFPJ trend in twitter.  It might be impossible for an individual like me who is not a celebrity to make it to the most discussed over the net, but who knows, I like to dream big and there were so many things that actually came true beyond my expectations. 


I do want to thank all of the people who have alreday sent their greetings online and via text. The day is not over and I also wish that I could treat you if I could. I plan to celebrate my birthday with a movie night and hopefully a small gathering. 

For my 25th birthday, this is a very special day as I enter into the quarter life crisis (which is the thematic slogan of the celebration), I do wanted some things to happen, which you are very welcome to sponsor (teehee) , so I came up with this wishlist:

New Directions, New Lyf!

Just made new changes in the blog in terms of design, first the header and the logo, and then I also included my new black and white calling card which I say is so sleek. I just though of this makeover to start anew. Manual to Lyf believes in constant change to keep up with the time and its also the start of redesigning the blog itself. to make readers more comfortable reading the articles. Just last week I changed the theme into a lighter one to encourage people to read versus the dark (yet lively) theme I had for some time. I hope you enjoy this makeover and just in case you are interested in graphic arts just give me a call..by the way, here is my calling card.

Year 23

Yup, Its My Birthday...an I am making this one at 4 am in the morning, not that I have not slept but I just finished my Iron Man 2 review before hitting the sack. The movie was not free and I think it was like a treat to myself. But still now that I am *ahem* older, I dont care, age is not defines me, but what I am today is what reflects me.   The picture you see above is not a political ad but something I have made years ago and NO, I will not run for politics. Just love to make you smile with what I can do, in any way that I can. I was also flooded with greetings over at my facebook which I try to respond to all of them. I have over 1000 friends, and I know most of them personally. My Palanca entry won't be possible since its deadline already, oh well better luck next year. I will still try. I have been to a lot these times yet I still fins reasons to be very very happy. To tell you the truth I really want to receive a gift today, but it does not matter how small or expensive it is, it will still make my birthday a great day. Tomorrow is Labor day and Free Comic Book Day, so there is also something to be excited after this day. Yey!

Pinoy na nga ako noong isinilang
Ngunit kaunlara’y sa ibang bayan ay nakita
Na nais ko rin tuklasin at maranasan
Ang kanilang mga bagay na sa aki’y nagpahanga

Hindi ko lang nais maging hapon
Maging Kano ay ninais ko na rin
Malay, Intsik, Thai, at Europeo
Lahat na ng lahi, wag lang Pilipino

Bakit di ko ba mahal ang bayan ko?
Dahil wala ba dito ang hinahanap ko?
O hindi sapat ang mayroon dito?
Sa tingin ko, ang mata ko’y bulag

Sanay na kasi ako sa mabigat na trapik,
Pandesal, itlog at dyaryo
Sa dumadaan na puto at taho
At sa mga tao nagtratrabaho

Sawa na yata ako sa ating mga tanawin
Na bundok, dagat at buhangin
Sa mga bagyo na may kakatuwang pangngalan
At sa Lupang HInirang na aking kakantahin

Ngunit nais ko palang maging pinoy muli
Kumain ng Balot at sumakay ng Jeep
Makipagbalagtasan, Makipagtsimisan
Magtext ng walang hangan

Balikan ang Boracay, Palawan at Cebu
Lumamon ng pulutan at tumunga ng beer
Makipatintero, Mag-arnis at escrima
Bumati ng Mabuhay at Kamusta

Akala ko na ang pinoy ay bunga lang
Ng pinaghalong kastila, kano at hapon
Lagyan ng ibang sahog
Hayan! Pilipino ang tawag diyan

Yun pala nasilaw lang talaga ako
Sa kinang at ganda ng bansa nila
Tama nga ang mga siinabi nila
“Kay tagal mong nawala, babalik ka rin”

Yun pala ang pinoy, sa una’y bansa’y itatakwil
Pero kinalaunan matututo itong mahalin
Nais ko pa rin na maging Hapon
Pero higit na nais kong maging Pilipino
