LG, one of the world's best electronics company continues its quest in making products that push innovation that gives them the edge over their competitors. Now I was given. chance to get to know more about these products and features.

A CALL TO OPEN HEARTS AND OPEN MINDS

A woman blessed with stunning looks and enviable pedigree doesn’t usually wish she was a member of the third sex… but Divine Lee does… well she isn’t exactly a woman, not according to her gay friends.

“Proud ako to say na yes, Baklang Babae ako! As in Baklang, Baklang Babae!” proclaimed the gorgeous Ms. Lee in her speech during “Ladlad 8: The Metamorphosis”, a fundraising dinner in celebration of the political party’s 8th Anniversary. She further surprised the audience when she expressed her wish for a gay child in the future.

Entertainment value aside, the essence in Divine’s message is her call for equality. Her dearest friends are gay and she cited specific incidences when they were discriminated upon in establishments, job applications even at a public beach.

BLESSED: A CALL TO HOLINESS

He was the pope closest to the heart of many Filipinos.  He was the pope that beatified the most number of “blesseds” and the most traveled one at that. But now that he himself has been named as the New Blessed, Pope John Paul II continues to echo his call to holiness to each of the faithful.

On October 29, 2011, exactly one week after his appointed feast day, the Diocese of Cubao headed by the Most Reverend Bishop Honesto Ongtioco, DD., and the Araneta Center will stage the first ever musical concert and liturgical celebration in honor of Blessed John Paul II at the SMART Araneta Coliseum. Entitled BLESSED: A CALL TO HOLINESS, the entire afternoon will be filled with thanksgiving, inspiring messages and musical numbers from the people who knew the beloved pontiff. Among the speakers are Rev. Fr. Francis Gustilo, SDB who is currently the only Asian member of the Vatican’s International Theological Commission and the Spiritual Director of the Couples for Christ, Ambassador Henrietta de Villa, former Ambassador to the Holy See, and Jo Grafil, former Executive Director of the World Youth Day. Their uplifting messages and testimonials will be interspersed by stirring musical performances by the Las Pinas Boys Choir, Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir, Holy Family Parish Youth Group of the Diocese of Pasig, the IL VOCE from the Ateneo High School and special surprise performers. The occasion will also mark the first time a theme song for Blessed John Paul II composed by Ryan Cayabyab with lyrics provided by Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ will be performed.

Showcasing her talent as one of OPM’s young singer/songwriter could probably go beyond being a daughter of the Comedy King Dolphy and OPM’s Divine Diva ZsaZsa Padilla because Zia is here to prove that she’s is a breath of fresh air in her debut album.

Featuring her positioning single “Simple Girl” is notably one of her masterpieces since she started learning her craft. Zia said “I draw inspiration from everyday experiences or a particularly strong feeling that I have at the moment. I believe that songs become more meaningful when you’re feeling emotional and in a way come from a very real place. And when you finally finish a song, the most fulfilling feeling about the whole process when you take a step back and think, ‘That pretty much sums up how I felt at the time.’” She wrote the song “Simple Girl” and obviously mirrors a young simple girl she really is.
