40 Official Candidates For Miss World PH Presented

After having successfully staged the very first Mr. World pageant in Manila last Friday, August 23, at the Araneta Coliseum, the Miss World Philippines organization gears up for the much- awaited presentation of candidates who will comprise this year's batch of aspiring beauty queens.

Among the 40 candidates who faced the press during its official press presentation held at Novotel Manila's Versailles Tent last August 29 are an award-winning actress/singer/composer a model/actress from a major network, an accomplished model/actress who is the daughter of an international pageant titleholder, two former Miss World 2017 aspirants, a flight attendant, a lawyer, and sisters of former beauty queens.

"The King" Starring Timothée Chalamet Soon On Netflix

Timothée Chalamet brings his charm now with a new movie named "The King". Written by David Michôd and Joel Edgerton, it is directed by David Michôd.

In this film, Hal (Chalamet), the wayward prince and reluctant heir to the English throne, has turned his back on royal life and is living among the people. But when his tyrannical father dies, Hal is crowned King Henry V and is forced to embrace the life he had previously tried to escape. Now the young king must navigate the palace politics, chaos and war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life — including his relationship with his closest friend and mentor, the aging alcoholic knight, John Falstaff.

Starring Timothée Chalamet, Joel Edgerton, Sean Harris, Lily-Rose Depp with Robert Pattinson and Ben Mendelsohn. The King will be shown showing in select theaters and on Netflix.




Acclaimed Novel "The Goldfinch" Reveals Gripping Story in the Big Screen

A beautifully wrought coming-of-age story, intimate in its emotion and sweeping in its design, Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Goldfinch” is the film adaptation of Donna Tartt’s globally acclaimed and beloved bestseller of the same name.  The novel, which won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, spent more than 30 weeks on The New York Times Best Sellers list.

Directed by BAFTA Award winner John Crowley (“Brooklyn”), the film features a multigenerational cast led by Ansel Elgort (“Baby Driver”) as Theo Decker and Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman (“The Hours,” “Big Little Lies”) as Mrs. Barbour.  The film also stars Oakes Fegley (“Pete’s Dragon”) as Young Theo, Aneurin Barnard (“Dunkirk”) as Boris, Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things,” “IT”) as Young Boris, with Sarah Paulson (“The Post,” “American Crime Story”) as Xandra, Luke Wilson (“The Royal Tenenbaums”) as Larry, and Jeffrey Wright (HBO’s “Westworld”) as Hobie.

Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the final trailer for “Joker,” starring Oscar nominee Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, alongside Oscar winner Robert De Niro, and directed, produced and co-written by Oscar nominee Todd Phillips.
