The Fort Bonifacio Tenement was built in the 1960s, originally meant as housing for families relocated from the city’s crowded tracks. Concrete walls, 700 families, and a single basketball court at the center. On paper, it was just another housing project. But the people transformed it into something greater. The court became more than concrete — it became a gathering place, a stage for murals, a canvas for culture. Murals rose on the walls, turning bare gray into color and resistance. NBA superstars once touched down here, but long before and long after, it was the local community that made it legendary. Tenement is a reminder that struggle and survival create the strongest culture.
TBA Studios' Quezon movie will hitting theaters soon as part of the Bayaniverse trilogy which comes full circle with the film about the late president Manuel Luis Quezon.
