Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Mr Toshinao Urabe, together with FUJIFILM President Takashi Sasaki and executive Shushei Wakimoto will officially turnover six (6) State-of-the-Art radiography equipments to Department of Healyh. The medical equipment composed of radio and endoscope machines amounting to 30 million pesos (250 Million Yen) is part of Japanese Embassy and FUJIFILMs efforts to help improve medical service in the country.
FUJIFILM has been in the country for more than 30 years and is more famously known for its photo and imaging products, it is likewise a BIG player in medical equipment industry. FUJIFILM has emerged as being one of the pillars of medical and diagnostic equipment industry.
FUJIFILM MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
We now take a look at the medical equipments donated by the Japan Government via the Japanese embassy. They are mostly installed inside the building in the hospitals chosen by DOH.
The CR Console Plus serves as operating and quality control console for all Fujifilm CR readers. Here, all patient data, anatomical regions and control commands for the imaging plate systems, the printer and the network are entered. The MFP software processes the digital image data from the reader and offers various functions for optimizing and processing the images. The integrated image data base has a capacity of approx. 2,000 images. If several CR Consoles are used, each console can be accessed from any other console.
FUJIFILM FCR Capsula XL II Reader
The FCR CAPSULA XL II is an imaging plate reader with single cassette feed. It provides high productivity and is especially suitable for small and medium-sized facilities. The system is used for processing medium volumes with a throughput of approx. 92 cassettes per hour. The resolution is 5 to 10 pixels/mm. The system stands out due to its small footprint.
Technical data:
Power requirements: 120 - 240 V, 50 - 60 Hz
Dimensions (W x D x H): 590 x 380 x 810 mm
Weight: 99KG
FUJIFILM's flagship model dry imager
• High speed and high resolution imaging, ideal for large-scale data processing in general hospitals
• Superb capability realized by high maximum density (enables mammography use)
• Available in a wide range of film sizes
The remarkably efficient DRYPIX7000 is designed as a centralized imager with a maximum of three film trays. It has a built-in DICOM print server, enabling easy connection with all DICOM modalities through the network.
Advantages and Benefits of Using CR system over the conventional processing
- · No dark room or chemical processing required
- · Less space, environmentally friendly
- · Digital images are acquired directly
- · Less waiting time
- · Sensitivity is generally higher
- · Less exposure dosage to the patients
- · Image quality is more stable
- · Less re-takes
- · Sensing, image display and image storage are independent from each other
- · Easier integration and development of the system
