MUSIC LYF: #3D2 The Repeat

It is fitting for a king to celebrate his reign, and being the Concert King, Martin Nievera has been through almost everything in the industry from highs and lows but stood firm in being a total entertainer. From a successful run of his anniversary concert of Tatlong Dekada, had fans ask for an encore of the concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Tatlong Dekada The Repeat  or can be described as #3D2 is made more meaningful as it falls at the aftermath of calamities which have baffled the country like the earthquake in Bohol and Cebu and Typhoon Yolanda which raptures through Visayas.

The concert started with a call of a minute of silence and a rendition of "the Prayer" as Martin greatly supports the Sagip Kapamilya call for "Tulong Na Tabang Na Tayo Na" campaign. Martin also asks everyone to support benefit concerts of OPM artists which some are surprise guests or part of the audience.

It's indeed throwback times with nostalgic hits that everyone knows like You Are my Song, Be My Lady,  and many more. He also made a imitation of a jumpshot which imitates a scene in his previous concert.

As one of the judges/mentors of X Factor Philippines, some of the finalists performed as the opening acts with the grand winner, KZ Tandingan. Also surprising the crowd is the head of Kamp Kawayan, Bamboo who has also a Christmas concert at the Music Museum.

There are also participation from Pinoy singers who are part of the crowd like Jed Madela and Erik Santos. Martin also went to Yeng Constantino to sing "You Are My Song". Sarah Geronimo was also in the crowd who wasn't able to attend the first because of her mentorship in The Voice of the Philippines. And the winner of The Voice, Mitoy, who was a back up singer of Martin before, is given a spot in the concert by Martin.
In this anniversary concert wont be complete with the biggest names in OPM that will cmplete the night and break network walls for just one night the music of Martin. Regine Velaquez-Alcasid was one of them and gave an explosive number. Ogie Alcasid shared Martin's best hit, Be My Lady. And to complete the Martin Nievera experience is the Concert Queen, Pops Fernandez which brings back great memories despite their past.
Tatlong Dekada The Repeat is an affirmation that Martin is still at the prime of his life and he is still trying new things and keeping up with the trends. A standing ovation well worth of songs that are now timeless OPM classics, and more hits to come in the future.

Special thanks again to PolyEast Records. :)
