It was supposed to be a regular Marvel fans day for the anticipation of Avengers: Infinity War at SM Cinema in Megamall, but it turned out to be more epic than that. We were usually expecting to have a day of cosplay, giveaways, prizes and some trailers. But we were treated to something more that shocked us.
But before the revelation, there was also a moment for great cosplayers who nailed it in their costume bringing to life their favorite characters in the MCU. Impressive and notable cosplayers for me include Iron Man, Rocket Raccoon, Baby Groot, Proxima Midnight and of course, Thanos. Giveaways were also a win with many merchandise from partnered brands like Goldilocks, Folded and Hung, Alaska, and GMovies.
We were then asked to do a group recording of a video saying “Avengers, we are ready for you!,” After doing several takes, it quickly became a surprise for everyone as Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and director Joe Russo appeared on the cinema screen and streaming live from Singapore.They are there to also attend the Red Carpet Fan Event on April 16 at Marina Bay Sands along with Robert Downey Jr.

With this one of a lifetime chance, three fans – Chris Cantada, Karen Kunawicz and Aaron Atayde – were given the opportunity to ask questions to them which shared their experiences during filming the epic Marvel movie. Of course many cannot contain their excitement with Joe, Benedict and Karen are overwhelmed by the reception of fans. She also wanted to visit the Philippines soon and we also also hyped with her announcement.
This unexpected turn of events at Fans day makes it really unforgettable to Marvel geeks like me. Now we are truly excited for Infinity War which will be available in cinemas April 25, 2018.
