Maricar like may OFWs who strives to be prove her worth as a singer in a foreign country. She shares that she has to adjust to get along with fellow performers as she is seen as a competition especially with Japanese performers. She came back to establish her career in music with the help of Mr. Vehnee Saturno and launched her first album under Universal records.
Her first album "Mahal Mo Na Siya" which features the song of the same title was launched in 2014 and made it to the charts of radio stations. However she went back to Japan to continue performing given that she established a working contract there. Now she is back again to launch her new album with a collaboration with Crazymix and Basilyo.
Her new album Maricar under Blckmrkt International features songs with different feels laced with her soulful voice which is really great even on acapella. She loves to do a whole lot of genres which her range can handle, and she performs it with finesse given her experience as a singer for years. That is why she is dubbed as the Crossover Diva, and now she wants to take another milestone in her career.
The album features a track "Tahan Na" which has this jazzy, relaxed yet meaningful words would make it relatable to the millennial taste. Another song, "Lumuluha" also comes in Japanese version as homage to her roots performing in Japan.
