Now officially part of PPP, this film was made in collaboration with Cignal Entertainment, and this would be their first movie venture and positive with the first project that they made. Of course there is also The IdeaFirst Company (Jun Lana & Perci Intalan), and Octobertrain Films.
Sue Ramirez plays Norma, a average student who has a relationship with varisty player Leo (Markus Paterson) who is also the brother of Aris (Jameson Blake) who is also in love with Norma. If that is not already complicated, Norma acquires a strange disease which make her sick whenever she is within rage of wifi. With no sure cure of treatment to her sickness, the family decided to bring her to the remote house of their Grandmother to get well. But with the disconnection with the outside world, without cellphone signal or internet connection, it affects the relationship of Leo and Norma, however Aris may see this an an opportunity to be close with Norma.
As part of the PPP this year, it is quite a change for Jun Lana who is known for dark and mature films in recent years. However the movie did went beyond the usual RomComs and experimented with a "plausible" concept which mirrors reality and blends the love complexity to give its charm. With scenes that are related to school and love life, it does prompt the viewers to be emotional.
Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa Wifi stars Sue Ramirez, Jameson Blake, Markus Paterson, Angellie SaƱo, Adrianna So, Kiko Matos with the special participation of Ms. Yayo Aguila and Ms. Boots Anson Roa . Written and directed by Jun Robles Lana, showing on August 15.

Show summary: So DisConnected (to get well)

Technical Effects: 3 out of 5 stars (I like the production design from the school to the grandmother's house and all things covered in aluminum foil.)
Plot: 3 out of 5 stars (With a lot of possibilities, it has this charm similar to Sid and Aya which I consider as one of the best Filipino love story movies this year.)
Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars (I see a good acting consistency with Jameson Blake and Sue Ramirez, Markus Paterson was also great and looks like a real life brother of Jameson)
Pros: Music, side characters, dialogues,
Cons: Plot holes, rushed resolution
Cons: Plot holes, rushed resolution
Music and Soundtracks: 5 out for 5 stars (Keiko Necesario soundtrack for the movie was perfect for the film)
Overall: Rating 4.0 out of 5 stars (Though it is more of a love story than a science fiction, the movie made a connection with viewers though the characters, the music, and the silly things they did which are actually adorable.)
