GMA's Onanay Is A Must Watch This Monday!

As Kambal Karibal ended on Friday, we look forward to new GMA drama, Onanay which brings something new to primetime. Starring Jo Berry, a newcomer artist who has Achondroplasia or a bone growth disorder which impeded her growth. But this did not stop her to shine in this series. She plays Onay who will be a mother of two beautiful daughters Maila and Natalie, played by Mikee Quintos and Kate Valdez respectively. They cast also include veteran actresses the Superstar Nora Aunor as Nelia - Onay's mother, and Cherie Gil as Helena - Onay's mother-in-law who despises her because of her condition.

With many still looking down at little people, Onanay opens up their world and that they are worthy to be treated with fairness, love, and understanding. A story of family, love, and positivity despite adversities. Orginally called "Little Nanay", the series shows revolves on mothers and their relationship with their children. Also joining the Onanay cast are Gardo Versoza as Dante, Rochelle Pangilinan as Sally, Vaness Del Moral as Imelda, Enrico Cuenca as Oliver, and Elvin as Adrian Alandy.

We have seen the first episode and it exceeded my expectations for teledrama. There were kilig scenes of love between Onay and Elvin, unexpected turns of their love story, and discrimination of Onay about her height. With maternal emotions driving the show, it will be a hit for parents longing for affection of their child.

Onanay is created by the GMA Entertainment Group under the supervision of Senior Vice President Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Vice President for Drama Redgie A. Magno, Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager Helen Rose S. Sese, and Executive Producer Nieva Sabit.

Onanay starts on August 6 on GMA Telebabad.

Kapuso viewers abroad can also catch Onanay via GMA’s flagship international channel, GMA Pinoy TV. To check the program schedule for each territory, visit their official website at www.gmapinoytv.com
