After weeks of competition, the finale week of the 12th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition is the most attended and anticipated weekend at the SM Mall of Asia which was filled in all corners just to see the fireworks show. This Saturday was the final night for the last competitor Canda and will be followed by an exhibition performance by the Philippines' Platinum Fireworks.
Canada’s Royal Pyrotechnie might be the last to present but they proved that they could show an impressive superhero themed performance that brought the songs of the DC and Marvel universe. This theme got the interest of the public by having songs that brought nostalgia and commonality, eventually leading to a heroic climax.
With this, they can now tabulate the scores and see who will be the victor for this year's Pyromusical. There was a tie for the 2nd Runner-Up with Germany’s Steffes Ollig Feuerwerke and Canada’s Royal Pyrotechnie. The 1st Runner-Up goes to United Kingdom’s Pyrotex Fireworx, and the Grand Champion goes to China's Polaris Fireworks.
After the announcement, it is now time for Platinum Fireworks to showcase their prowess and expertise with showcasing a very impressive music and fireworks display. They incorporated the tourism slogan of "Love The Philippines" in the performance which also draw foreign tourists as SM Mall of Asia being a prime destination for travelers.
The weekends of the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition have indeed become a yearly tradition for friends and family to enjoy going out and witness the incredible fire and music spectacle that only happens at the Mall of Asia. Just in time for the new facilities like the MOA Sky and new expansions of the mall to cater to a growing number of customers and businesses.
We are now looking forward to next year's Pyromusical and hoping new countries will be joining this competition.
