Puregold Channel Presents ‘Si Sol at si Luna’ Pairing Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza

Ready to experience something new with Puregold Channel? They recently launched a new series called "Si Sol at Si Luna" which stars Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza paired for this special limited series streaming exclusively at their Puregold Youtube channel.

This adds to the growing number of groundbreaking series like ‘My Plantito’ and ‘Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile’, which brought amazing actors and directors in making one-of-a-kind shows that many love and relate to.

The series was unveiled at the  Puregold Aling Puring Convention held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. There along with the jampacked attendees, we able to witness the press conference which include the cast, director, and Puregold Cinepanalo festival director Chris Cahilig.

The series features the first paring of Zaijan and Jane as leads for this romantic story of Sol, a film student who is working on his documentary meets Luna who has been emotionally traumatized and carries a lot of burdens and secrets. Both will find love despite their polar opposites but will also face challenges in making it work.

Zaijan and Jane started young in their acting careers and has indeed grown to do more mature roles like this one. In the trailer, there is also quick moment of a love scene that shocked fans because Zaijan is known for his pious image. 

For Puregold Senior Marketing Manager Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, the wistful insights depicted in ‘Si Sol at si Luna’ are what make it more than just your garden variety romcom.

“At its core, the series is about love—but not the kind that comes easy,” says Hayagan-Piedad. “It asks: Where do we find love? What do we do with it when it comes at the most unexpected time? Luna’s story is about loving through grief. Sol’s is about loving through transformation. Whether love can survive both—that’s the question the audience will ponder on.”

Joining Zaijan and Jane are Joao Constancia, Uzziel Delamide, Vaughn Piczon, Lyle Viray, Jem Manicad, Marnie Lapus, and the breakout star, Atasha Franco. Direk Dolly Dulu fits perfectly with the project as she has also directed romantic movies and series like The Boy Foretold by the Stars (2020), Unbreak My Heart (2023) and Bakwit Boys (2018).

‘Si Sol at si Luna’ will air its very first episode on the Puregold Channel on YouTube on May 31, with a new episode set to be released every Saturday thereafter.
