Australian-based chefs Marc Nacua and Princess Anne Uy elevates culinary storytelling with Filipino flavor

The multi-awarded chefs headlines the fifth edition of Guevarra’s Taste of the Philippines: A Global Culinary Journey

Guevarra’s by Chef Laudico, in partnership with Nutribullet, continues the tradition of championing globally renowned Filipino chefs with the fifth wave of Taste of the Philippines: A Global Culinary Journey. This year, the spotlight shines on two award-winning Australia-based chefs, Marc Nacua and Princess Anne Uy, whose contributions to Australia’s multicultural dining scene have been nothing short of extraordinary. 

The event, which took place on September 18, 2025, at Guevarra’s in San Juan City, Metro Manila, featured the work of the two acclaimed chefs and presented a special dining experience that bridges Filipino heritage with global innovation.

Celebrated pastry chef Marc Nacua has brought more than 15 years of expertise from Melbourne’s esteemed Crown Casino and currently serves at dnata Inflight Catering. Known for his precision and creativity, Chef Marc’s accolades include being crowned Dessert Champion at the 2024 World Food Championship – Australia and securing a Top 7 spot at the World Food Championship in Indianapolis, USA. His signature approach transforms Filipino inspirations into world-class desserts that fuse artistry with bold flavor.

Chef Princess Anne Uy, a dynamic force in Melbourne’s culinary scene, has established her foothold through leadership roles at Nobu, Crown Casino, and Marvel Stadium. The latter gave her an opportunity to oversee catering for up to 60,000 patrons, with headlining events featuring iconic superstars Nicki Minaj, U2, Lady Gaga, and more. Anne has earned international recognition with awards such as the Silver Knife Bocuse d’Or Australia – National (2025) and second place in Seafood at the World Food Championship (2023, Dallas). With her signature style integrating Filipino flavors with Japanese precision and modern Australian techniques, Chef Anne continues to push the boundaries while honoring her Filipino roots.

During the Manila showcase, the chefs presented a special menu that pays homage to Filipino classics while introducing international flair. Dishes include:
