SM Cinema features Pacquiao- Marquez 4 live via Satellite on December 9

The 4th Pacquiao-Marquez fight is, without a doubt, one of the biggest bouts of the year.  In a sport where everything is unpredictable, where one punch can change everything, no one is sure to know of who has the upper hand in the 4th, and probably the decisive fight between Manny Pacquiao and the Mexican dynamo Juan Manuel Marquez.

Both men are considered among the greatest fighters in the history of boxing with Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao being the first eight-division world champion and the first to win the Lineal Championship in four different weight classes, making him a boxer of Muhammad Ali’s caliber.  Juan Manuel Marquez III, on the other hand, is the greatest Mexican boxers of all-time for many analysts. He is the current WBO light-welterweight champion and the third Mexican-born boxer to become a four-division world champion, winning seven world titles in four different boxing weight classes.

Dear Free Netizens...

I came from the future, 2 ███. [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175) in fact. I came here at this timeline to  change the future, a very horrible future. Where those in power cannot be touched, though cloaked in public service and good intentions, still gets away with a lot of corruption and power struggle. The internet is controlled by the government, no advertisements, no blogs, no social media. Rather they use it to provide information to its agencies. Use the high speed connections for control robots and instruct "internet bulldogs" to catch "internet vandalizers" which many people do today, but not in the future.

From the start of the "Sot ███████████. [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175) Law" has been passed, it was meant to help the victims of internet related crimes like child pornography and cybersex, but hidden in the law are amendments that punish people with jail time and fines which has a big loophole that can be abused. We regret not making  a stand and fight for this, we were pacified with promises of the law never to be used against innocent citizens. But after some time, we saw many of my friends disappearing one by one. Not just logged out but also missing or found in jail. Many became outraged, many went out on the streets. The people also become more furious online, hacking and defacing government websites.

The government, made up of mostly computer-illiterate people, said that these act is rebellion against the state. First  there was news blackout in all media especially online. Other nations tried to interfere, but the government assured that they have everything in control. All news against the government is taken down and replaced with praises. It was like North Korea. Democracy became dictatorship gradually, and even Martial Law needed to be passed with both lower and upper house, it was approved so fast without appropriate deliberation.

Yes, Martial Law cloaked in the new name called ██████████. [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175). It used a large part of the budget to build arms against the "rebels", control cyberspace totally, and also acquire some companies mostly utilities and media. The UN tried to interefere, but again it failed, the government got support from  ██████. [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175) and ██████████. [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175). And though with a strong economy, it begun to decrease, but they said it is still growing (in the pockets). People became scared to go out of the streets and even online, suicide rates gone up, inflation goes up also.

People who support internet freedom are then sentenced to life imprisonment, while corruption and murder suspects roam free. Its scares me and makes me shiver and cry while writing this, its was some time again to write in the free. Your generation is very fortunate to the pioneers of the internet. Make sure that you protect it for your children and the next generations like me. Make the internet an avenue to help people, to promote humanitarian, environmental and heritage advocacy. The ones you left us, became ruins. They did not see the power of the people and the internet combined.

Please save us from the chaotic future,
████████████. [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175)

KESZ WINS INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S PEACE PRIZE 2012

The International Children’s Peace Prize 2012 was presented to Kesz (13) from the Philippines at the Ridderzaal in The Hague today. Of the three nominated children, who have all made extraordinary efforts in the area of children's rights, the Expert Committee selected Kesz as the winner. He was awarded the prize by Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu.

Kesz received this award for his efforts to improve the rights of street children in the Philippines, where more than 246,000 street children are subjected to abuse, violence and child labour. Many of them also struggle to cope with major health issues. Kesz was in the same situation. He was severely abused and forced to scavenge at the dumpsite at the age of two. Three years later, he sustained burns on his arm and back, which forced him to run away and look for help. He has transformed his own experiences into a drive to help other street children and inspire them to change their own lives.

Here are the medal count for today as of 7:00 PM. This will be the second to te The London Olympics started on July 27 and will end on August 12, 2012. Blah Blah Blogs: Trial by Storms

I don't know but sometimes the best wisdom comes out when we are our lowest point. And in today very surreal weather that they say have surpassed Ondoy in terms of damage and coverage has made us very weary and afraid. I am afraid too, not only for my self but also for my family who lives up north, my relatives in Pasig and Quezon City and all my friends from all parts of the Metro who have also experience the same heavy downpour.

We were very lucky back in Ondoy as we live 4 storeys up in a uphill part of Sampaloc-Sta Mesa. But still it was really gruesome to see the aftermath of the storm. Mud all around, the smell of stench that remained on the street for days and also the sad news of the people who died. As much as we don't want that to happen again, we cannot dictate nature. Earth has been formed with powerful storms and earthquakes which make me realize that what we humans are still at her mercy. To us to survive, we must still do a lot of work.

REEL DEAL: The Bourne Legacy REVIEW

The long wait of Filipinos (especially action fans) is over, after many inconveniences with traffic with the supervision of the MMDA, The Bourne Legacy will be shown in theaters this August 8. A spin off from the very successful and acclaimed Bourne Series (Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum), the movie now tells the story of another agent similar to Jason Bourne, Aaron Cross.

The movie goes on a world tour to many countries, not just the Philippines. From the cold mountains of Canada, to many Asian cities  showing the string theory of events that eventually lead to the crossroads of the meltdown of the program and its agents. Rachel Weisz, plays the beautiful doctor who accompanies  Aaron to travel to the other side of the world to Manila.

Of course, Pinoys who were part of this movie take pride of making this happen. And the view of Manila was really cool, for a true blue Manilan like me. The chase scene in the city was something really surreal to think that I also walked at those places. Also its my first time to see a Jeepney at a chase with passengers and falling moments. It also makes me think that Manila can be a place for parkour... perhaps? And El Nido is just... wow!

LONDON 2012: Medal Count - August 6

Here are the medal count for today as of 9:00 AM (Manila Time). The London Olympics started on July 27 and will end on August 12, 2012. Sad news for the Philippine team as Mark Barringa lost to his Kazakh opponent in the top 16, which they even filed a complaint about the scoring however it was denied, our only hope of a medal lie with athletics and bmx. We do hope and pray that they would also make that break to excel in those sports and bring honor to the country. Now back in medal tally, China still leads with 29 golds, 16 silvers and 14 bronze medals followed by USA (27 Gold, 14 Silver, 15 Bronze), host country Great Britain (16 Golds, 10 Silvers, 10 Bronze), Republic of Korea (10 Gold, 4 Silver, 6 Bronze), and  France (8 Gold, 7 Silver, 9 Bronze).

REEL DEAL: The Bourne Legacy - Jeremy Renner SPOTLIGHT

JEREMY RENNER is Aaron Cross in  The Bourne Legacy

Two-time Academy Award® nominee JEREMY RENNER a performer as comfortable with drama as he is with action, stars in Universal Pictures “The Bourne Legacy” he plays Aaron Cross is one of six agents in a program called Outcome.  Unlike the CIA’s Treadstone, Outcome agents have been developed and trained for use by the Department of Defense.  More than assassins, Outcome agents are designed for use in isolated, high-risk, long-term intelligence assignments.  The behavioral science that was suggested as the underpinning of the Treadstone agents has been upgraded and advanced, but it’s the shared origins of these two programs that makes Outcome so vulnerable as Bourne’s story becomes public knowledge.

How did this role come to you?

It came to me in a very BOURNE-like way. Someone flew out to Germany where I was shooting HANSEL AND GRETEL. They knocked on my door, handed me a script and said, ‘When you’re done with it, call this number…’  It was very spy-like. So I read it, loved it, and thought I’d be an idiot not to do it.

Lets Go for Pinoy Gold this London 2012 Olympics!

photo from Choose Philippines

Its just a day away until the 26th Olympiad will happen in the historical yet modern city of London in Great Britain. Though our country might have not yet have its Gold medal, we are very optimistic and supportive of the 11 athletes that represents the Philippines in the games. This is also the reason why we made the blog into an Olympic theme in support of our best athletes that would hopefully bring us pride and glory.

Their number may be small compared to the previous games, analysts are positive that even with this number,  we have really sent quality players that will earn us medal/s and hopefully our first gold.

Of course, we also watch the Olympics because of the grandeur that each host nation would do to make each games unforgettable. The live airing of the opening and closing ceremonies as well of the coverage of the games will be covered by AKTIV (IBC13) and TV5.

Now let's get to meet our Pinoy Pride Athletes!

REEL DEAL: The Bourne Legacy - Director Tony Gilroy SPOTLIGHT

Manila According To Tony Gilroy

During preproduction, of The Bourne Legacy director Tony Gilroy toured Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) in Vietnam, Jakarta in Indonesia, and Manila in the Philippines.  Ultimately, Manila’s history as a shooting location won over the team.  Major Hollywood features, such as Apocalypse Now, Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July and Brokedown Palace, were shot in the Philippines in the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.  “They had a 25-, 30-year run of making movies there,” says Gilroy, “and they have this huge infrastructure that was built up from all the films made about Vietnam.”

John Lloyd Cruz Loves and Uses AyosDito for Selling and Buying Online

Online selling is a fast growing activity in the net today, with many people wanting to sell new and old things that can be an alternative source of income and also a way to get extra cash for things you are also planning to buy.  That is why I go for a website like AyosDito.ph which is easy to use even to first time buyers and sellers.

Before, buying and selling is a problematic activity. For one to succeed in buy and sell, you need to post an ad in a newspaper. Now, there’s a cheaper, hassle-free and fast way of offering pre-loved items to those who need it—visit and post free ads on online websites such as www.AyosDito.ph.

I myself have tried to sell some items using this website to test and also sell my items. The first was a GTA IV original game, after posting I got a great buyer within less than 2 days! And with the facebook feature, it helped me with another transaction. Indeed AyosDito makes buying and selling easy and simple!

Electrolux Design Lab Theme 2012: Design Experience

Electrolux Design Lab’s 10th Anniversary challenge to international design students is tied to Electrolux professional heritage in a theme that stimulates all senses.

Electrolux Design Lab is a global annual design competition inviting students and recent graduates of industrial design to compete for a six-month paid internship and prize money by submitting ideas that develop the sensory experience of home appliances. This year the jury will also take special note of the aesthetic qualities of the concept and the way textures and surface materials have been used.

Brief: Design Experience

As demonstrated in the Cube by Electrolux, the world of professional cooking is all about the experience. It’s not about achieving the perfect inner temperature of a steak for the sake of science or performance. It’s about designing the best possible experience for your guests. The creative force behind the experience is the merger of intuitive and innovative appliances with the creativity of the chef and carefully selected high quality ingredients.
