Rainy days and Lazy Sundays are days worth being laidback and listening to great music, and it is also the perfect time to listen to the smooth and cool voice of TJ Monterde. As an artist under PolyEast Records, he released his first album "Ikaw At Ako" which included six OPM classics and 5 original songs. This time TJ brings in a new single "Tulad Mo" which will premiere on the on PolyEast Records YouTube Channel on August 15. The new song was written by our singer-songwriter himself and recorded at the Studio 1103 in Panay, Quezon City “I came up with the melody last year but the lyrics came in later when I met my inspiration. I write all my songs and I really enjoy the whole creative thing-- I've always loved doing it. But the process of writing this song makes it more special because of my girlfriend.” TJ added.
“I've always loved acoustic and I will always love acoustic music. But this time, it's quite different compared to my previous acoustic songs. I tried reinventing to do more up-beat, pop-ish kind of feel. You know, the same music you sing when you’re happy” said the 25-year old acoustic singer.
Known to sing with a very relaxed and cool tone, he does "hugot" songs so well that can make you feel the soul of the songs, which makes him different from the many singers of today. The new song "Tulad Mo" is catchy and would be a great theme song for the popular #AlDub love team.
