Senatoriable Angelo De Alban Steps Forward

There are new aspirants for the seats in the Senate this coming 2019 midterm elections, and lawyer and educator Angelo De Alban comes forward to take that chance to push reforms and make necessary action that favors the simple folk like him.

His name is not the usual name we usually hear in politics, at age 37, he is one of the youngest senatorial nominee that filed their certificate of candidacy. But there are some people who considers him as a nuisance candidate on the grounds that "he is just a lawyer and teacher." He quickly answered these allegations with a formal response to COMELEC (Commission of Elections), to show his capacity to run answering all points of the argument to show proof of his capacity as a candidate.


De Alban as a lawyer has also provided pro bono law services to underprivileged like teachers, security guards, OFWs and mediated management grievances with janitors. As a educator, he will push for a integrated education code that will benefit both teachers and students. He will also push for better living conditions for people with disabilities (PWD). He shares that Federalism is good however it is not the right time for this shift in the government.

He chose to run as an independent candidate because it will make him not associated with majority and minority, rather this gives him the position to work with the current administration but also serves as an objective opposition when necessary. He is working closely with his campaign team to prepare for the senatorial race.

Though many would consider him as a newbie in the political scene, De Alban shows enthusiasm for his campaign. His inspiration for this battle also comes from his wife Shao and their child that will be born very soon. Though the elections is a gamble, Angelo De Alban offers his track record, his advocacy, and his capacity to be a worthy senator of the people's vote.
