Magandang Buhay initially disclosed Ernesto Bauzon as winner of a BRIA home in its December 25, 2019 episode, saying that Bauzon was chosen for his dedication to—and love for—his three children. The tale of how the widowed father raised his children singlehandedly for decades touched the hearts of many viewers and served to inspire them.

Upon submitting Ernesto’s story to the “Magandang Buhay, Magandang Bahay” segment, his daughter Agnes wistfully related why she thought her father deserved to win the brand-new BRIA home. “Sa tagal po niyang nag-alaga sa amin bilang momshie at popshie, na hanggang ngayon sobrang dedicated niya sa pag-aaruga sa mga apo niya, napakahalagang magkaroon siya ng sariling bahay.”

Ernesto also thanked BRIA Homes and Magandang Buhay for choosing their family as their fourth house-and-lot winner. “Matagal ko na pong gustong magkaroon ng sariling bahay, magmula noong maliliit pa ang mga anak ko. Ngayong tuloy na tuloy na ang pagkakaloob ninyo ng bahay sa amin, masayang-masaya ako,” he happily stated.

It will be recalled that the awarding of the Bauzons’ new home was suddenly put off when lockdown and quarantine measures due to the pandemic were enforced. Now BRIA Homes is finally ready and waiting for them to move in. 

In the live Facebook episode, BRIA Homes President Red Rosales presented a ‘digital key’ to their new home in BRIA Homes Pampanga, an Elena end-unit model with a floor area of 22 square meters and a lot area of 54 square meters.

According to Rosales, the Bauzon family can move into their new BRIA home in Pampanga, as soon as the current situation and quarantine protocols allow them to.
