BPI Honors 2013 Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children

The Bank of the Philippine Islands has recognized this year’s Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children at the awarding ceremony held recently at the BPI Head Office in Makati City.

Now on its 7th year, the Search recognizes expat children who excelled in academic and non-academic fields. This year’s roster of awardees cites eight (8) Ibang Klaseng Talino awardees, and one each for Ibang Klaseng Community Leader and Ibang Klaseng Artist categories.

The Search has been a representation of BPI’s unwavering commitment to promote the value of education and culture of excellence among the children of our Overseas Filipinos. The campaign has also been BPI’s way of honoring Expat Pinoys and their families’ contribution to the country and more importantly to the future of their children.

BPI Group Head of Retail Segment and Channels Group, EVP Natividad N. Alejo shares, “BPI honors overseas Filipinos with our yearly search for what we call “outstanding expat Pinoy children.” We extend our appreciation to the our modern-day heroes’ children, our “anak expats,” who in turn have to go through many years of their childhood being away from their mother, father, or both.”

The 2013 BPI Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children awardees include Ibang Klaseng Talino Awardees Alison D. Galian (De La Salle University- Manila), Nel Jason Haw (Ateneo De Manila University), Raoul Danniel Manuel (University of the Philippines-Visayas), Emir Deogene Mendoza (University of the Philippines-Diliman), Louise Ann Florelle Pasadilla (Lyceum of the Philippines University), Cloie Anne Rabinetas (University of Santo Tomas), Joezelle Salunga (University of the Philippines- Manila), and Joseph Kennedy Tabor Jr. (De La Salle College of Saint Benilde); Ibang Klaseng Community Leader awardee Christine Joyce Agapito (Far Eastern University); and Ibang Klaseng Artist Andrei Karoly Hernandez (University of San Carlos).
