Sylvia Goes Darker With Jesusa

For this year's Sinag maynila Film Festival, Sylvia Sanchez becomes part of one of the showcase films titled JESUSA. This depressing yet challenging character is perfect for Sylvia who has proven herself in recent years her prowess in acting.

Directed by Ronaldo Carballo and produced by OEPM (Oeuvre Events and Production Management), the film also stars Allen Dizon, Mara Lopez, Ynez Veneracion, Malu Barry, Vince Tanada, Fanny Serrano, Beverly Salviejo, and Uno Santiago.

The role of Jesusa was originally meant for Superstar Nora Aunor but was not able to finalize the contract. However they  highly considered Sylvia Sanchez as her work showed her credentials.

Jesusa tells the story of a wife who lives with her abusive husband and is surrounded with an atmosphere of drugs and poverty. This theme might be a common plot, but Jesusa's role will make things interesting for the film.
