Rising new love team David Licauco and Shaira Diaz got lucky with a string of new projects as they started with TV shows and now will be the lead stars in ALV Films first romantic comedy movie "Because I Love You." As they also gain fans everyday because of their chemistry, the pair seems to do well in their career paths.
Because I Love You tells the story of two people from two different worlds, one is a rich boy while one is a poor yet striving fire girl off to chase her dreams. As both of them find themselves in a "hot" situation, they also find love despite the lovers who are also on their backs.
With such a huge difference in social status, they found serendipity in each other despite the odds. David known for his chinito looks is perfect to play a rich guy which is somehow similar to real life. While Shaira might not be a real firewoman, she went through intense training on how they work and live with such a highly stressful and dangerous job. David also underwent intensive training in horseback riding and polo, and a chopper was also flown in for an authentic 'old rich' vibe.
Directed by Joel Lamangan, and written by Charlotte Dianco, a popular Wattpad writer and TV director, also marks the second offering of ALV Films for this year. It also stars Martin del Rosario, Michelle Dee, Samantha Lopez, Bernadette Allyson, Monsour del Rosario, Mr. World Philippines 2018 JB Saliba, Timothy Lawrence Yap, Bryan Benedict, IC Mendoza, Victor Basa, Rob Sy, Chris Leonardo, LM Mercado, Afi Africa, Melo Merkona, Jao Mapa, and Mosang, with special cameo appearances by Miss Multinational 2017 Sophia Senoron, Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla, RJ Ledesma and newly-elect Senator Francis Tolentino.
The two Kapuso artists have figured prominently in GMA-7's top-rating teleseryes. Some of Shaira's more recent projects include Contessa (2017), Pamilya Roces (2018) and Love You Two (2019). David's recent outings include Mulawin vs. Ravena (2017), Kapag Nahati Ang Puso (2018) and TODA One I Love (2019).
