Spotify unveils BALASA: A new way for A’TIN to celebrate SB19’s latest Simula at Wakas era

SB19 is back with Simula at Wakas — a bold new chapter in their music journey. To take the comeback even further, the P-Pop kings have teamed up with Spotify to launch BALASA — a brand-new in-app experience built just for this era.

Live on Spotify, BALASA invites A’TIN to go beyond streaming and experience Simula at Wakas in a whole new way — through a fandom-powered quest.

The journey starts on the This Is SB19 playlist, where five tracks each hold a hidden BALASA card — one for every member of the group. To complete the quest, fans can stream and share the right songs, with clues hidden in Canvas: the looping visuals that play on each track. The more A’TIN engage and share, the more surprises may unfold along the way!

UPRISING goes full throttle in last salvo for 2020 with brand-new releases and website launch for 7th anniversary

In the last 7 years, independent record label UPRISING has been in the forefront of hip-hop in the Philippines, with members located across the country and in North America and dedicated audiences spanning the globe. Despite the unprecedented challenges brought upon by the 2020 pandemic, UPRISING is not yet done with the year: the label is due to put out a string of highly anticipated releases and a new website for hip-hop fans, new and old.

UPRISING began 2020 with The FlipTop Festival, the premiere and massively popular music gathering in the country, back in March: headlined by its full roster and guest artists from across the Philippines, drawing thousands of fans to witness a celebration of hip-hop culture and solidarity just before the nation grinded into a halt. A steady stream of music releases continued—numerous singles, music videos, and albums—supported by live online battles and performances, the most recent of which was representing the country in the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival’s inaugural edition online.
