KIX, action entertainment TV channel, premiered a new reality show, The Ultimate BROcation, last December 14. It is a hilarious reality show about four celebrities from different countries discovering Hong Kong in an all-expense paid vacation, tailor-made for bros.  The show stars our very own R&B sensation Billy Crawford along with 3 other Asian celebrities: Thailand’s “bad boy” DJ and TV host P.K.; award-winning Malaysian hip hop artist SonaOne; and Singaporean maverick chef Bjorn Shen. KIX, the ultimate TV destination for action entertainment, announced today the top ten finalists of R U Tough Enough? (RUTE), the nationwide search for the toughest Pinoy. Six male and four female finalists will face one another at the final showdown on October 14 (Friday) at 4 P.M. at The Block Atrium of SM North EDSA for the title of Toughest Pinoy and the grand prize of PHP 250,000.

Can’t get enough of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge

KIX, the ultimate destination for action entertainment, will air the third season of the hugely successful Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge, Friday nights at 9pm, starting August 19.

The show’s premise is quite simple, and it has remained unchanged, but like its host Stone Cold Steve Austin who has long been retired from professional wrestling, the appeal of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge endures. As before, with each episode eight super fit athletes from diverse backgrounds ranging from MMA to crossfit to Spartan racing and many more, compete head to head in a series of brutal elimination challenges to see who is the toughest. The winner then gets a crack at the Skull Buster, an obstacle course that has proven brutally efficient at separating true bad asses from pretenders.

KIX, the ultimate destination for action-entertainment recently concluded R U Tough Enough competition which was about finding the toughest Pinoy who is not just physically tough, but mentally and emotionally tough as well. It is doubtful that anyone could have predicted that the actual winner Reyn “The Daring Dreamer” Talosig, would embody that concept of toughness so completely and perfectly.

The RUTE course was alternately and often all at once grueling, mind numbing, and dizzying. All the elite finalists who competed that day finished, but every single one struggled to do so, incurring multiple penalties along the way. Talosig however, blasted through the course as though it was his personal playground, only one of the other competitors was even close to his time. His victory at RUTE though is just the tip of the iceberg, this deeply religious single dad, and avid classical music enthusiast approaches life in a manner that is simply inspiring.

KIX’s R U Tough Enough? Crowns Reynald Talosig as the Toughest Pinoy

KIX, the ultimate destination for action entertainment, announced today the winner of R U Tough Enough? (RUTE), the nationwide search for the Philippines’ Toughest. Reyn “The Daring Dreamer” Talosig, a 34-year old poet and musician from Quezon City, defeated nine other contestants at the final showdown held at the Mega Fashion Hall in SM Megamall and walked away with the coveted title of the “Toughest Pinoy” and a grand prize of Php 250,000.00.

The response to RUTE has been overwhelming considering it is the first time to be conducted in the Philippines. Coupled with reality star and actor Daniel Matsunaga as the ambassador, RUTE 2015 has generated over three hundred applications.. Only ten finalists with the physical, mental and emotional strength to take on the final showdown were selected to compete.

Your Big Chance to Prove you’re Tough Enough

KIX and Daniel Matsunaga want to know: R U Tough Enough? If you think you are, then time is running out on your best chance to prove it. KIX is currently recruiting tough Filipinos to participate in a one of a kind competition to find the toughest Filipino of all in “KIX R U Tough Enough?”.

The Contest is open to all legal residents of the Philippines, males and females aged 18 years old and above who exude toughness – physically strength, mental endurance and emotional resilience. Shortlisted participants will be invited for a closed-door audition on August 16 which will determine 10 finalists who will compete in a final showdown at SM Megamall on September 5, 2015.

KIX Launches R U Tough Enough? The Search for the Toughest Pinoy

KIX, the ultimate TV destination for action entertainment, officially launched today a nationwide search for the toughest Pinoy called R U Tough Enough? (RUTE). Kicking off the search is the ambassador of RUTE, reality star and actor Daniel Matsunaga.  Together with Moises Torcator, a strongman from Manila, Daniel pulled a truck loaded with 18 KIX girls for a distance of 18 meters to demonstrate their toughness and ask Filipinos nationwide “Are you tough enough?”

“KIX is an action channel that epitomizes toughness and the spirit of a champion. Our MMA (mixed martial arts) fight events, action movies, and action series all showcase people and characters who have persevered through tremendous hardships and obstacles. We want to bring this spirit of endurance and perseverance to life by launching a nationwide search for the toughest Pinoy.
