Watch PLDT Home’s new Valentine’s Day mini-series #SpeedThatMovesYou

This Valentine’s Day, PLDT Home releases a new musical anthology that celebrates the power of digital connections in enabling people to find communities, friends, and love despite the social distance.

Titled #SpeedthatMovesYou, the two-episode mini-series dives deep into different kinds of love starring the country’s hottest artists Gigi de Lana, Markus Paterson, and Kaori Oinuma, which droped on February 11 on the PLDT Home YouTube channel.

The first episode, The Duet, tells the story of Markus (Markus Paterson), a popular singer-songwriter struggling under the pressure to create successful music records. Finding solace in writing music for himself and posting it anonymously, he meets Arlisa (Gigi de Lana), a young talented singer who also posts anonymously because of fear of being in the spotlight online. Together they make music and fall in love but their secret identities threaten this newfound connection

Hosted by Maymay Entrata as the Master Lovecaster DJ Zari, ‘Listen To Love’ brings well-loved romance books to another medium through Star Cinema’s way of storytelling mixed with captivating visual elements, animated illustrations and a musical soundtrack.

As Star Cinema continues to innovate, ‘Listen To Love’ marks its first ever lovecast (love + podcast) series as it will become available on Spotify as a treat to podcast listeners.

First story to be featured on ‘Listen To Love’ is the adaptation of the hit Wattpad novel by Tina Lata a.k.a. Blue Maiden, with over 300 million reads, ‘The Four Bad Boys and Me.’

Winners in Get Reel, PH’s biggest mobile shorts film festival, announced

Get Reel Mobile Shorts Film Festival 2019, a film festival presented by McJim Classic Leather, has chosen the winners from among seven incredibly inspiring, heart-rending, and relatable mobile shorts entries shot solely with smartphones. The use of a device that almost all Filipinos have access to levelled the playing field for aspiring filmmakers who were asked to share their stories depicting the modern Filipino gentleman and the values he holds dear.

Get Reel is understandably proud to have provided an avenue for such filmmakers who rose to the challenge and turned out truly remarkable and impressive works. The following winners were announced in an awards ceremony held last August 30 at Cinema 1, Fisher Mall.

Among scores of creative entries, seven films were chosen as finalists with Dylan Ray Talon’s Walang Hanggang Ligaya Sa Una Mong Ngiti and James Edward Golla’s May Love Life Na Si Pepito Jr. bagging most of the coveted awards.
