Joey Albert, Marco Sison In Olongapo City V-Day Concert

It’s going to be an unforgettable evening of nostalgia and romance when two of OPM’s enduring icons, Joey Albert and Marco Sison, team up for an intimate Valentine’s Day concert dubbed ‘Golden Voices, Timeless Memories,’ on February 14, 2025, 8:00pm at Hall C, Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Pop chanteuse Joey Albert is best remembered for her sentimental hits such as ‘Tell Me,’ ‘Points of View,’ ‘Iisa Pa Lamang,’ ‘I Remember The Boy,’ ‘It’s Over Now,’ ‘Yakapin Mo Ako,’ ‘Over and Over,’ and many more. 

For his part, debonair balladeer Marco Sison’s iconic hits include ‘Make Believe,’ ‘My Love Will See You Through,’ ‘Si Aida, Si Lorna O Si Fe,’ ‘Always,’ ‘I’ll Face Tomorrow,’ ‘All Of My Life,’ ‘Paano Kung Wala Ka Na,’ and ‘Will Our Love Survive.’ 

GenXers, millennials and lovey dovey couples alike will fall in love all over again and sing along with the timeless hits that defined the heyday of OPM from the late ‘70s to the mid-‘80s.

Olongapo Heritage Fair: Revealing Nellie E. Brown

On April 11, Ellie De Castro concluded the Finding Nellie Project at Nellie E. Brown Elementary School (NEBES) by revealing the true identity of her father’s elementary school namesake, Nellie E. Brown. Her audience consisted of NEBES’ current students and faculty, former and retired teachers and principals, alumni, Olongapo Historical Society members, local government representatives and Department of Education representatives.

The reveal comes after 646 days of research alongside 5 National Geographic Explorers and De Castro’s own family and friends. The day was called the Olongapo Heritage Fair, where a program filled with messages from the community and an interactive exhibit for both students and alumni were organized by the Finding Nellie Team with support from Olongapo City Vice Mayor Jong Cortez and West Bajac-Bajac Barangay Captain Billy Capistrano. 

MUSIC LYF: David Pomeranz finds his way back to Manila

He will take the concert tour at the Heritage on Dec. 19, Airport Casino Filipino on Dec. 20, Pavilion on Dec. 21, Iloilo on Dec. 22, Angeles on Dec. 27, Olongapo on Dec. 28 and Tagaytay on Dec. 29.

Regarded as one of the most successful songwriters and recording artists in the international music scene, David’s songs have sold over 35 million copies worldwide and his musical projects have earned him a total of 18 Gold and Platinum records with hits "Got To Believe In Magic" and "King And Queen Of Hearts."

In 1999, he captured the hearts of the Filipinos with the release of the phenomenal single “Born For You,” included in the compilation album "Born For You - His Best and More."
