In the minute-long video, producer Jason Blum breaks down the formula for effective scares and what audiences may expect for the penultimate chapter of the franchise. All the activity has led to this, the final installment in the Paranormal Activity found footage horror series.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" is Closing Film of Sreamfest‏

Paramount Pictures' “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” will premiere as the closing night film of the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, playing in RealD 3D at the TCL Chinese Theatre in L.A.

The move is a homecoming of sorts for the scary movie franchise as the first “Paranormal” made its debut at the festival, the largest and longest-running horror festival in the U.S., in 2007.

Directed by Gregory Plotkin, “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage.

As the “Paranormal Activity” franchise comes to an end this October,Paramount Pictures has revealed the teaser poster for its final chapter,“Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.”

Directed by Gregory Plotkin, “The Ghost Dimension” is expected to finally reveal Toby, and tie up loose ends. And as the new poster declares,audiences will – for the first time – actually see the “activity.”

The final film follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box oftapes in the garage.

When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.”

Opening across the Philippines on Oct. 21, 2015, “Paranormal Activity 5: The Ghost Dimension” will be distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
