"Scream" Rated R-16 Without Cuts, Holds Sneaks on Feb 1st

Paramount Pictures has just announced that its US No.1 box-office hit Scream will hold special sneak previews in selected cinemas nationwide on Tuesday, February 1st.  Horror fans are advised to check with their favorite theaters for the screening hours and ticket prices.

Scream, which opens wide in Philippine cinemas on February 2, has been rated R-16 Without Cuts by the Movie & Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB).  Fans are guaranteed to see the film in its integral, original version, complete with all the “strong language, gore, and graphic depiction of murders.”  As Ben Travis of Empire Magazine writes, “In an era of elevated horror, it's a gloriously gory basement party.”

Mayhem Madness: "Birds of Prey" Rated R-16 Without Cuts in PH

Warner Bros.’ eagerly anticipated DC adventure “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous  Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, has been rated R-16 Without Cuts by the Movie and Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB).

In its official report, the MTRCB committee that reviewed “Birds of Prey” wrote that “The film contains graphic but non-gratuitous depiction of horror, frightening scenes and gore, graphic but non-gratuitous depiction of violence and gore, language, non-gratuitous depiction of drugs or their use,  that may not be suitable for children below sixteen (16) years of age.”

Rated R-16 Without Cuts, 'Halloween" Opens in PH Cinemas Oct 24

After making a killing with its $77.5 million No.1 debut in the US -- the second-biggest opening ever for a horror film -- Universal Pictures’ “Halloween” is set to slash its way to the Philippine box-office as it opens in selected cinemas Weds, October 24.

Audiences can rejoice with the news that the Movie & Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has rated “Halloween” R-16 Without Cuts.  This is a welcome development for avid fans of horror films as “Halloween” will be shown in its integral version with all the terrifying and suspenseful scenes intact.  Moviegoers aged 16-years old and above will definitely have a scary good time.
