Going to YouTube Fan Fest Manila?

Here are some reminders to get the most out of the experience!

* Have a good breakfast. Food and drinks (soda, juice, and water) are available in the venue. Alcohol is a big no-no.

* Keep your bags small. Big bags won’t be allowed inside so just bring items you need the most for a hassle-free night. All you need is yourself and an extra sparkle of fun!

* Dress comfortably. Wear clothes that will let you jump, dance, and groove along your favorite YouTube creators! Get ready to stand for long hours too so don your cutest pair of sneakers or flats!

* Arrive early. Queues may get long so make sure to pack some ounce of patience too. You may bring a big handkerchief or a small towel that will fit in a small bag to sit on whenever you get tired.

MUSIC LYF: Bloc Party Live In Manila

Bloc Party are a British indie rock band, composed of Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Russell Lissack (lead guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass guitar, synths, backing vocals, glockenspiel), and Matt Tong (drums, backing vocals). Their brand of music is said to have been drawn from such bands as The Cure, Mogwai, Siouxsie and the Banshees and in their more recent work Radiohead.

The band was formed at the 1999 Reading Festival by Okereke and Lissack. They went through a variety of names before settling on Bloc Party in 2003. Moakes joined the band after answering an advert in NME magazine, while Tong was picked via an audition. Bloc Party got their break by giving BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq and Franz Ferdinand's lead singer, Alex Kapranos, a copy of their demo "She's Hearing Voices".

In February 2005, the band released their debut album Silent Alarm. It was critically acclaimed and was named 'Indie Album of the Year' at the 2006 PLUG Awards and NME Album of the year which both honour indie music. That year, the record was also certified platinum in Britain. The band built on this success in 2007 with the release of their second studio album, A Weekend in the City, which reached a peak of number two in the UK Albums Chart and number twelve in the Billboard 200. In August 2008, Bloc Party released their third studio record, Intimacy. The band went on a hiatus in October 2009 to focus on side projects, and reunited in September 2011, releasing their fourth album, Four, in 2012. As of May 2012, Bloc Party have sold two million albums worldwide.

Drive to a whole new level at the Manila International Auto Show 2012

The 17th World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) once again proved to be a success. Over 152,000 visitors flocked to the World Trade Center Metro Manila and experienced 30,000 sq. m. of booths and exhibits from local and international industry players.

“WORLDBEX leads the future of the construction industry in the Philippines by providing an avenue where local suppliers can showcase their products globally and likewise giving Filipinos an opportunity to see what the international market has to offer,” says Joseph Ang, founding chair of Worldbex Services International (WSI).

WSI, however, is just getting started. From one world-class expo to another, car enthusiasts will once again race to the World Trade Center from March 29 to April 1, 2012, 10am to 10pm, for the highly anticipated 8th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).  With the theme “Motorsports”, MIAS 2012 turns the spotlight on “Life in the Fast Lane” and the current trend of developing new and updated models of sports cars by different car brands, all designed to outride the competition.
