GMA Network's Statement on "Haram"

HARAM is a story about the love of LUIS (Dingdong Dantes) a soldier who is of Christian faith for a Muslim girl, NADI (Kylie Padilla).

Eventually, the soldier will find out that this love is "haram" (forbidden); this is the reason why Nadi's family is strictly against their friendship-much more their union.

But because Luis's love is true, he wants to prove that he only has good intentions for Nadi. This pushes him to convert to Islam, so that his love for Nadi would no longer be forbidden.

This is the story of Haram.

However, imagine if we could give people from different backgrounds the opportunity to speak with one another, live, on giant screens! Just maybe it would reduce ignorance, promote understanding and ultimately, lessen conflict!
