Acer continues to lead consumer and gaming notebook markets in the Philippines

Acer once again dominated the Philippine market for consumer and gaming notebooks in 2024, capturing 35.7% of the total market share, according to third-party survey data by GfK. Acer secured a 34.2% market share in the consumer notebook category and a 40.6% market share in the gaming notebook category. This means that one in every three laptops in the Philippines is an Acer.

Key growth drivers included best-value offerings, extensive sales coverage, and strategic marketing campaigns. Acer’s agility in adapting to the latest trends and leveraging the influence of its brand ambassadors, such as SB19 and G22, resonated with the young target demographic.

Acer APAC Predator League 2025 Expands Gaming Tournament to Broader Community with Festivities

The sixth edition of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Predator League by Acer officially opens today, presenting a grand regional esports tournament that has grown significantly since its inception in 2018. This is the first time that the APAC Predator League is hosted in Malaysia, with the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Hannah Yeoh, gracing the opening ceremony.

The APAC Predator League 2025 marks a new era with the introduction of two dynamic champions (avatars), Nero and Yuffy. Acer named one of the World’s Top Companies for Women

Acer has been named one of the World’s Top Companies for Women in 2023, marking the second consecutive year of being recognized on the Forbes list. With this, Acer climbed from 291 to 259 and ranked 12th in the Semiconductors, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Technology Hardware & Equipment category.

Forbes surveyed 70,000 women across 37 territories in partnership with Statista, and the evaluation criteria included workplace practices, gender pay equity, handling of discrimination, and equal opportunities.

The recognition reflects Acer's ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.

In the Philippines, Sue Ong-Lim is the managing director of Acer, leading a workforce of 139 employees.

She started in the company as a Senior Sales Executive in 2009 until she was named Managing Director this year.

Acer wins 12 Red Dot Awards, including Acer Day #MakeYourGreenMark campaign spearheaded by Acer Philippines

The Acer Day #MakeYourGreenMark campaign received a Red Dot award for Advertising and 11 other awards for the brand’s initiatives in this year’s Brand and Communication Design ballot, marking the largest number of winning entries for Acer in this competition.
