New York Festivals Nominee "Oras Na" documentary out now on DVD!


Internationally-acclaimed Oras Na, GMA News and Public Affairs' thought-provoking documentary on the deteriorating state of the environment, is now out on DVD.

After receiving the Martine Filippi Award for Discovery in the prestigious International Union Radiophonique et Télévisuelle Internationale (URTI) Grand Prix for Author's Documentary in 2012, Oras Na once again receives commendation after being nominated in this year's New York Festivals for the Environment and Ecology category.

Hosted by actor and environmental advocate Richard Gutierrez, the ambitious project which took months to complete uniquely presented the threatening repercussions brought about by human activities that harm the environment.

Who is FRANK OCEAN?

Oblivious to the local music scene is a 24 year old American singer-songwriter named FRANK OCEAN who happens to be heating up the World Wide Web after unleashing his new album, “channel ORANGE”, and later stating how he has fallen in love with someone of the same sex as revealed in the album’s liner notes. In the past few weeks, Frank Ocean has nearly gotten 1.5 Million tweets and has been featured on 5,192 blogs. The album has also trended worldwide and has been tweeted 154,887 times. SPIN Magazine expressed that "A lot of people are going to love this man (Ocean) very soon." People Magazine stated that “channel ORANGE is not just the best debut of 2012 – it’s the best album period.” 

MUSIC LYF: Jessica Sanchez - Stuttering

Remember how the judges were left ‘stuttering’ when the senational American Idol songstress Jessica Sanchez performed a stunning and soulful rendition of Jazmine Sullivan’s “Stuttering”? She sang that song like it was her own and totally killed it! Randy Jackson described Jessica’s performance as the ‘biggest fish of the night.’ Jennifer Lopez added, ‘My favorite part in the middle is you started digging’, while Steven Tyler expressed, ‘Every time you sing, I forget where I am.’ 

Fans all over the world will surely be delighted to hear the petite powerhouse croon in the studio version of “Stuttering” all over again. The song is part of Jessica Sanchez’ American Idol Season 11 Highlights album repertoire where it takes us back to some of her memorable and brilliant performances in the reality television singing competition, American Idol. It also includes Jessica’s breathtaking and nostalgic rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”, her sultry cover of Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams”, her duet with Joshua Ledet entitled “I Knew You Were Waiting for Me” plus Jessica’s anthemic finale song, “Change Nothing”. At the same time, “Stuttering” is also dubbed as Jessica’s Concert Single for the upcoming American Idol Tour.

EVENTOLOGY: AstroVision Bloggers Blowout!


Orange magzine tv and Astrovision held its Bloggers' Blowout last September 3, 2011 at Greenbelt 5 the event is divided into three parts: music, movies, and tech. We were part of the music group and we were presented with the music groups like warner music, sony music (ivory records), MCA music, and  star music group (star records) and presented to us the featured artists under their labels. And as an added bonus LG Electronics Philippines let us experience their 3D TV! Woohoo!

They featured current record labels and upcoming music and videos and concerts. The record label that caught my attention is Warner music which feautures many artists who I love to listen to like Adele, Bruno Mars, Red hot chili peppers, Rumer,  and of course LINKIN PARK!  And they will be featuring local acts like Ebe Dancel former member of the band sugarfree now with debut album Dalawang Mukha ng Pag-ibig. Also lets not forget our pride, Charice with a new album!
