REEL DEAL: Mama REVIEW

In our movies we have seen all kinds of ghosts and monsters that have haunted our imaginations in our lifetime, yet it would be rare to find that ghoul that will can scare us and also touch our hearts at the same time. This is what Guillermo del Toro's Mama shown as a thriller fantasy movie.

Two girls were found in a cabin 5 years after a gruesome tragedy. They now live with their uncle and start a new life with them. However, how they survived 5 years without anyone is a mystery to them as well of the one they call "Mama" disturbs the new family they now have. Having a mother figure for a ghost may not scary when you think about it, but this movie will make you think otherwise.

EVENTOLOGY: AstroVision Bloggers Blowout!

Orange magzine tv and Astrovision held its Bloggers' Blowout last September 3, 2011 at Greenbelt 5 the event is divided into three parts: music, movies, and tech. We were part of the music group and we were presented with the music groups like warner music, sony music (ivory records), MCA music, and  star music group (star records) and presented to us the featured artists under their labels. And as an added bonus LG Electronics Philippines let us experience their 3D TV! Woohoo!

They featured current record labels and upcoming music and videos and concerts. The record label that caught my attention is Warner music which feautures many artists who I love to listen to like Adele, Bruno Mars, Red hot chili peppers, Rumer,  and of course LINKIN PARK!  And they will be featuring local acts like Ebe Dancel former member of the band sugarfree now with debut album Dalawang Mukha ng Pag-ibig. Also lets not forget our pride, Charice with a new album!

MUSIC LYF: Tricia Garcia's Album 'Kulay'

The music industry today is too saturated with fast paced  sounds that come and go. Some do lack permeability and would often sound the same and makes its essence dull . But when certain colors are applied, its true soul is revived and makes it beautiful. That is what MCA Music’s newest musical gem TRICIA GARCIA is all about: a mix of colors and what they evoke, a collection of life's experiences and what lessons they leave, all displayed in her debut album Kulay.

“I want listeners to be inspired by the fullness of life," Tricia says, when asked how she chose the album title.
Setting a new trend in Philippine music, she brings light jazz, a mixture of easy listening pop, and jazz. Trained in opera but influenced by mainstream jazz and blues, Tricia's voice soothes and captivates. It's as if this consummate artist--she plays the piano, guitar, and sax, and paints and writes poetry, as well--is singing for you and you only.
