The fourth film in the Avengers franchise and the 22nd film in the grand Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers: Endgame broke the opening day record of 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, making it the biggest opening of a Marvel film in Philippine cinemas to date.

New Actress Lashana Lynch Plays Carol Danvers' Trusted Ally in "Captain Marvel"

Behind the triumph of every super hero is a trusted ally.  For Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) aka Captain Marvel, it’s the strong-minded Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), a former test fighter pilot and Carol’s best friend and loyal confidante.

Captain Marvel - Did It Soar To Expectations?

For a movie that will headline a marvel Heroine, Captain Marvel faces a lot of high expectations and even comparing it to DC's Wonder Woman. Also as it comes before the upcoming Endgame movie this April, it seems that these are the biggest challenge Carol Danvers has to face aside from her enemies in the film.

Captain Marvel is indeed an origin movie that dates back to the 90's, one of the few films in the MCU which goes back in time like Captain America The First Avenger. Though this one is much more recent and key characters like Nick Fury and Agent Coulson appears in their more younger years.

Brie Larson takes on the character which involves the space beings like the Kree and Skrulls. Closely linked to Guardians of the Galaxy, the conflict goes  to Earth as Vers (Captain Marvel) was led to Earth to find a essential person that will reveal his past.

The film comes late in the MCU that despite the flair and power she possess, it seems like it was not exceptional in terms of innovation like Black Panther. But the story is essential in building the MCU with the plot and connections it has with the heroes, villains, and the infinity stones leading to Endgame.
