NAIA and Newport City Gets Closer with Runway Manila!

The Golden Age of Infrastructure is now kicking off with a lot of transport and public works that will propel the nation into more progress. But of course it would take a lot of hard work and patience as building them would not be easy as it seems.

With the projects of the previous administration is worked on and completed, the challenge now is to make them work for the people. One of which is Runway Manila which a link bridge directly connecting NAIA Terminal 3 (T3) and Newport City. This shall be made accessible to the public, free of charge.

The project is part of Alliance Global Group, Inc.’s (AGI) commitment to work with the Philippine government in promoting Philippine tourism by providing tourists and visitors with a convenient and seamless travel experience in the country.

90's Hit Artists Diana King and All-4-One Will Have A Concert at Newport Performing Arts Theater!

The 90's was indeed a decade of innovative and unforgettable music. With artists experimenting on pop, RnB, Hiphop etc., the music scene has grown so much that they still continue to influence us even up to today. And one of the most loved artists of that decade are All-4-One and Diana King. Good news is that they will be performing here in the Philippines at the Newport Performing Art Theater This October 28!

I remembered when I covered the Then and Now Concert 5 years ago where Diana King was one of the performers. It was truly a surreal experience as she is one of the most anticipated artist for the concert. If your might be too young and wondering who they are, let me give you some information about them.

All-4-One is an american male RnB/Pop grop best known for their cover hit single I swear from their self-titled 1994 debut album. The group comprises James Jones, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez, and Tony Borowiak, all fom the Antelope Valley in Mojave, California areas, but are based in Los Angeles Area. The group has sold 22 million records worldwide.

No less than fashion couture extraordinaire Rajo Laurel sits on the designer’s chair for Resorts World Manila’s upcoming stage production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I on September 15, 2012, at the modern Newport Performing Arts Theater. 

Inspired by the timeless musical since his youth, Rajo claims that The King and I remains a personal favorite, claiming that as a child, he had been cast as one of the King’s children, as he shared the bill with current theatre greats Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Raymond Lauchengco, and Lea Salonga. “I drew a lot of inspiration from the strong imprint The King and I had on me,” he reveals.  “It’s really an iconic play, and I wanted to stay true to that form, though I did inject my personal nuance of deep romanticism and my penchant for high drama,” Rajo adds pertaining to his designs for the highly-anticipated musical.

ART IS A BANG: Cirque Mother Africato Performs at Resorts World Manila

For the first time in Manila, the world-renowned Cirque Mother Africa (created by professional acrobat Winston Ruddle) will dazzle and mesmerize local audiences with wild African music, dance and performance in a two-hour showcase.

EVENTOLOGY: Human Nature Photography Fashion Show

UNO Magazine brings you the second installment of a series of events held at the Genting Club dubbed “Human Nature Photography Fashion Show, “ on Friday, October 7. The event showcases the photographs of GT Toledo, president of IlustradosPH, a group of young photographers, stylists, make-up artists and the like, zeroing in on the basic elements of nature: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water. These photographs will then be brought to life by make up artists of Make Up Forever through body painting. The show promises to be an extravaganza of Filipino ingenuity through art.

This is also a fundraising event supported by the Manila Shrine Club for the benefit of burned and crippled children. The Manila Shrine Club supports children up to 18 years old with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft palate.
