Brother Philippines partnered with Luneta Park’s Street photographers to boost their business and give park visitors printed souvenirs that they can cherish for life.

The “Memories for Life” activity was held on February 5, 2023. Brother Philippines set up printing stations at Mabini Hall and the Japanese Garden. Photographers printed the photos they took using high-quality printers and assistance from professional graphic artists.

Christchurch Children Tell Their Story in New Zealand Earthquake Photo Exhibit

The New Zealand Embassy, in cooperation with UNICEF, is bringing to Manila the photography exhibition entitled “Christchurch: See Through My Eyes”.

The exhibition showcases photographs taken by 24 children from Christchurch, New Zealand, and illustrates how the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes affected their lives and communities.

New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines Reuben Levermore said: “We hope that the exhibition will encourage people to reflect on how best to prepare for disasters, including here in the Philippines.”

Philips set to launch LED Promise campaign on May 4

Philips Lighting Philippines is set to kick off its LED campaign on May 4, 2013 at the SM Mall of Asia. Entitled “The Promise of a Greener World”, the campaign aims to emphasize how using LED lighting solutions can help reduce the Philippines’ carbon footprint, and avert the drastic effects of global warming.

Power Mac Center brings back its well-loved adventure photography workshop conducted by no less than multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed Australian photographer and Apple Pro Trainer, Gunther Deichmann.

A two-day workshop on basic photography and digital photo management using Apple’s  photography software Aperture will be held on February 8 and 9, 2012 at the Subic Park Hotel in Zambales. Aperture gives users powerful yet easy-to-use tools so that they can do so much more with their photos as well as manage massive libraries on Mac.

September brings us to the excitement of the coming Christmas season, but there is also something to celebrate this month with the Archdiocese of Manila Commission on Youth with the Archdiocesan Youth Month 2012!

The month long celebration brings together the youth and challenges them. They can now also express themselves with the Digital Artwork Competition for this Youth Month. 

With the theme: " A Celebration of Christian Faith" (Any of the 12 Articles of our Catholic Faith - CREDO) "...They called the church together and reported what God had dome with them and how he had opened the door of faith..." (Acts 14:27)

EVENTOLOGY: Human Nature Photography Fashion Show

UNO Magazine brings you the second installment of a series of events held at the Genting Club dubbed “Human Nature Photography Fashion Show, “ on Friday, October 7. The event showcases the photographs of GT Toledo, president of IlustradosPH, a group of young photographers, stylists, make-up artists and the like, zeroing in on the basic elements of nature: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water. These photographs will then be brought to life by make up artists of Make Up Forever through body painting. The show promises to be an extravaganza of Filipino ingenuity through art.

This is also a fundraising event supported by the Manila Shrine Club for the benefit of burned and crippled children. The Manila Shrine Club supports children up to 18 years old with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft palate.

The Manila Fashion Academy Opens its Doors

London, New York, Paris, Milan, Tokyo. 

These are places of fashion known all over the world. Here in the Philippines, particularly in Manila, the fashion scene is rising and also getting recognition. From Philippine Fashion Week, and the Ford Model of the World, our models and designers are climbing the fashion ladder to worldwide recognition. And lately, a new fashion school opened that offered a holistic approach to this trade. The Fashion Academy of Manila located at A. Venue Mall in Makati opens it doors for aspiring models, designers and photographers. The Academy partners with the biggest modeling company of the world ELITE, home of supermodels like Tyra Banks and Hiedi Klum. 

The launch is indeed star studded as celebrities graced the event particularly two prominent families, The Gutierrezes (Ruffa, Raymond, Anabelle, Eddie)and the Magalonas (Pia, Frank, Maxine, Elmo & Sab). It was like Philippine Fashion Week again plus more. Other stars sighted were Angel Locsin, Solenn Heussaff, Anne Curtis, Liz Uy and many more.

The event is a fusion of art and fashion as it also displayed an exhibit of photographer Xander Angeles. Elite Models were also there to distribute copies of the limited VISUALSINE, with Raymond Gutierez as Guest Creative Editor for issue. With this launch, there is now a venue for people who aspires a fashion career either be in modeling, photography, make up and design.

SM Cyberzone TechnoLife Affair

Technology, Cosplay, Gadgets and all in between that is happening at the SM Megamall

Activity Center for the technolife affair. The three day event that features the latest

gadgets and technology. The event happened on March 24-26, 2011. The first two days

introduced the latest technology on day one and day two featured the experts in Yahoo and

Microsoft to harness the power of social networking.

The third day was the main event which features Cosplay acts and celebrities like sisters

Alodia and Ashley Goshiengfiao. Which drew a lot of attention from the mall goers. Alodia

also displayed some of her costumes that she wore and in which some won different awards.

It's my type of event since I do love blogging, technology and especially Cosplay.

  

Aside from cosplay and blogs, there was also a seminar for photography and making money

using the internet by Jomar Hillario. These gave beginners and ideas that they can use in

taking pictures and going online in the future.

I also passed the booths around the venue. One of them was for Microsoft which features

their windows 7 phones like HTC, and they also exhibited computers that uses the new

Internet Explorer 9. And the juicy part is after you try them you can get a prize on their

pachinko. I got a I love windows 7 pin! Something to add to my pin collection!

Azrael Coladila also gave a talk about blogging 101. He shared his experiences, how he

started and gave a lot of tips about blogging. Bloggers were also present to cover the

event. There is also a blogging contest after the talk and the winner can take home an

HTC phone! Ayeeeee!
