Get Ready to Rise to the Moment as the Manila Improv Festival 2026 is back at the Proscenium Theater

Manila Improv Festival, Asia’s biggest festival for improvisational theater and comedy returns for its 7th year happening on March 25 to 29, 2026 at The Proscenium Theater, Rockwell.

Started in 2015 by SPIT Manila and its school Third World Improv, the Manila Improv Festival has earned an increasing following from local and international improvisers, enthusiasts and fans. Recently, improv comedy has broken through mainstream media with the success of SPIT Manila and other improv groups on social media. The festival aims to make improvisation more accessible to a wider, more diverse audience than ever before.

This year’s Manila Improv Festival is produced by Sanghimig Performing Arts and Travel Consultancy in association with SPIT Manila and in partnership with Rockwell Center’s The Proscenium Theater.

The Manila Symphony Orchestra Foundation Inc. and The HSTL Foundation proudly present “LEGACY: Carmen Sipin-Aspiras and Inna Montesclaros, pianists” with the Manila Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Darrell Ang on January 25, 2026 Sunday, 7:30PM at the Proscenium Theater at Rockwell, Makati City.

LEGACY brings together two generations of pianists, Ms. Carmencita Sipin-Aspiras and Ms. Inna Montesclaros, in a meaningful performance that celebrates the passing on of musical tradition and mentorship. Under the direction of Darrell Ang, the Manila Symphony Orchestra joins the artists in an evening featuring works by Brahms and Chopin, highlighting the enduring beauty and emotional depth of the piano repertoire.

With quiet confidence and unshakable flair, Rockwell proudly presents its first-ever production: a 9 Works Theatrical staging of The Bodyguard The Musical.

A gripping blend of romance, suspense, and spectacular music, The Bodyguard takes center stage in its Manila debut. Inspired by the 1992 cinematic phenomenon starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, the musical reimagines the story of global superstar Rachel Marron and the former Secret Service agent assigned to protect her. As danger draws near, so too does an unexpected love—set to a soundtrack that defined a generation.
