Manila Symphony Orchestra's 'A Night in Hollywood' all set on June 28

The Manila Symphony Orchestra proudly announces the second featured concert for its 99th Season dubbed as 'A NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD' set on June 28, 2025 Saturday 7:30PM ALIW Theater, CCP Complex, Pasay City. 

Noted international artists  Zoltán Onczay, Hungarian Cellist; Angel Velez, American Guest Conductor; and the Composers and conductors from the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive (LAFCI) are coming over to Manila for a week-long collaboration with the Manila Symphony Orchestra. 

This exciting concert will feature a mix of new music composed for movies as well as a suite of iconic Hollywood compositions.

The repertoire will feature Hungarian Rhapsody composed by David Popper with Zoltan Onczay on cello; a Tribute to the Film Composers - Max Steiner, Bernard Herman and Henri Mancini (arranged by John Williams). 

ART IS A BANG: Ballet Philippines’ The Sleeping Beauty

Audiences still have the chance to watch "The Sleeping Beauty" presented by Ballet Philippines at the CCP Main Theater. They have shows on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 10 AM and 3 PM, Friday, Dec 9 at 3 Pm and 8 PM, and Sunday, Dec 11 at 3 PM. The performances on Saturday (3 PM and 8 PM) are sponsored by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Employees Association and Knowledge Channel, respectively. 

The Manila Symphony Orchestra will play Tchaikovsky's music live for one last time on Friday, Dec. 9 at 8 PM, with Katherine Trofeo as Princess Aurora and Jean Marc Cordero as Prince Desire.
